LMFAO – Party Rock Anthem Lyrics 12 years ago
Led Zeppelin took their name from the expression, "...will go down like a lead balloon". There was always an irony to using a name associated with a negative description of their prospects of success. The success and talent of the band don't make any difference to the laws of gravity - a balloon made of lead isn't going to go up! Since the LMFAO line starts "On the rise to the top...", the reference to the 'lead balloon' expression is fitting. Of course, LMFAO could have used the word 'balloon' instead of 'zeppelin', but I think it's supposed to be a parody of rap's overuse of cultural simile, rather than a slur directed at Led Zepp.

The Smashing Pumpkins – Bullet with Butterfly Wings Lyrics 18 years ago
There's a lot of wrong information about the story of Job here. An accurate account of the story might help with the interpretation of the line. Here's what the story actually is:

Job was a faithful man who worshiped God. He had a family (NOT just one son, as others have said), land, etc. Satan said to God that Job only worshiped God because everything was going well for him, and he would curse God if he didn't have the stuff. God said that Job would remain faithful even without that stuff. Satan then started to take all the stuff away from Job (God allowed this to happen, but did not do it), to prove his point. Job complained a lot, and his friends told him to curse God, but he still remained faithful. At the end, God gave him back more than had been taken from him.

It seems to me that BC, like Job, is angry and frustrated at the way he feels trapped, but he's believing that he'll come out the other end of it, and he's not going to lose faith in whatever he has faith in.
