this song is awe-striking amazing. i think, just me going out ona limb, it's about not selling out. i love the part.. 'or that she ever really mattered?' and then 'or did she ever really matter?' sounds like a whisper. you can't really tell that though, inless you have headphones on. |

this song is what originally got me into the academy is... i heard it a couple times on fuse, decided hey, they sound pretty sweet. not bad looking either. i forgot about them for a while, til i remembered: oh shit, i'm seeing them in concert in a couple days. this has nothing to do with song meaning. :D |

i agree with offwhitepinstripes's idea. when i saw them in concert with all american rejects (not a tour, something a local radio station did.) i knew by the time they were done with this song (which was the first one) that i had to go buy their cd. at that point, the only song i heard before then was 'checkmarks'. |
