I'm 37. The first time I heard this song, I was at work, hating every minute of my job and the Nazi pricks I work for. I was driving down the road, making local deliveries when I heard it on an alternative station. It INSTANTLY cheered me up and motivated me to do something better with my life. About two months later, I'm at a new job and things are going well. I know the song is basically about the government, but it can also be applied to anyone that oppresses others and keeps them from enjoying life. I'd never heard of Sum41 until that day, but I'm glad I did. I think this song did a lot for me. |

Awsome song. I wore out the vinyl record and a cassette of this album back in the day as a kid in my late teens/early 20's. I always understood the song as meaning that you won't get anywhere in life by wandering around without setting goals for yourself. This song really gave me direction in life. I count it as one of my all-time favorites. |
