i wish people would stop saying "no, the message is this" or "this is OBVIOUSLY what the song is saying"
i think people can interpret it differently, since not everyone's from the same background, got the same experiences, and has the same way of looking at things.
that being said, this song is beautiful.
what i think about when lsitening to this song is some murderer callling a worried mother and telling her he's got her child.
i know it's quite literal, but that's how i see it.
although i do understand the other interprations.
i especially like neptune325s opinion. |

@golly gee willakers: ah, you must like them alot :) but, it's wrong to say "i think they beat americans at singing, dancing, publicity and LOOKS!!!!!!! " that's just.....well, overgeneralizing. and i'm not saying this because i'm "anti-azn" because, well, i love all kinds of music, and besides, i am asian. (korean, to be more specific) :) it's nice to see some enthusiasm for w-inds though.

@honesty: i'm not gonna say "hilary duff, what a pOsEr!!!onesone!!!!!" but about the number one album in america thing- just because her albums made number 1 doesn't mean it's good. (i've never heard them, but still.) something popular is not always good. and, just because she's made lots of music and been in tons of films doesn't mean anything. it depends on quality, doesn't it? but if you like here, that's fine by me. to each his/her own. (also, they lyrics see m decent, but i've never heard the actual song, so idon't know if i like it or not.) |

i think the song is (like you said) looking back at life, and getting ready for a reality, (kinda like a new adventure) but not really wanting to let go of the past. it's so beautiful. |

this song makes me laugh, at first, i thought it was a joke by a member of songmeanings...after i read the comments, irealized it was an actual song. i'm not gonna say "hilary duff sux!!1111!!11" but, i must admit, her singing career isn't going that well.......i just looked up her songs for kick.(along with other "pop sensations" such as backstreet boys, britney spears, etc.) (i'm not here to hate on her music.) i must admit, the comments were pretty funny. XD |
