Cascada – Everytime We Touch Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Is this song on DDR or do I just have a really horrible memory?? |
The Hush Sound – You Are The Moon Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I cry every time I hear this song. |
This Providence – My Beautiful Rescue Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is so me and my boyfriend. It reminds me so much of him. When we first met, I was pretty miserable. I was at a new school, missed my friends like crazy, and was having a really rough time. I didn't make it any easier for myself by not talking and not trying to make friends. Then I was forced to talk to him while we worked together on something, and he became, in so many ways, my escape from the rest of the school. I love him so much now, I can't imagine what would have happened if I hadn't changed schools. |
Something Corporate – High and Dry (Radiohead cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love watching Andrew's hands when he sings. He's so used to playing and singing that when you take one away, he's just...lost. |
My Chemical Romance – Teenagers Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It's so weird how ever teenager I know is in love with this song. I guess teenagers scare everyone, including themselves. And this is closer to Aerosmith for me, but I'm still in love with it. |
My Chemical Romance – Famous Last Words Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm having a total spaz over this song. It sounds like such a natural growth. I love this song. This song is my life. 4 days!!!!!!!!! |
Taking Back Sunday – Belgium Waffle Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Well, I think it's quite a departure from their last album, and I must say, I'm completely appalled by the change. SELLOUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! j/k, I coudln't even type that with a straight face. |
Plain White T's – Hate (I Really Don't Like You) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
NicoleXEatsXBabies--Umm, "Hey There, Deliliah" is WAY closer to "Every Second Counts" than to "All That We Needed". osiris911--It's not about having a large vocabulary. Obviously you never got the talk about who you're not suppossed to "hate" but you can "really really really not like" them. I'm getting a little sick of this song, only because my friend doesn't have the cd yet, only this song, and plays it 24/7. But I really love it. And the new cd. It's awesome. Different, but awesome. |
Plain White T's – You and Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
they stole my phrase. but I love the song. Poppy, but not in a bad way. |
Plain White T's – Friends Don't Let Friends Dial Drunk Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love the song plenty, but I think I love the title a little bit more. |
Plain White T's – Our Time Now Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Has anyone else gotten the "oh oh oh oh" part stuck in their head AND NOTHING ELSE???? Yeah, that was me today. I love this song. It's a good song. PWT songs aren't hard to figure out on a literal level, and I'm not even sure how many allegorical levels they can have. It's about the guys finally coming into their own as adults. |
Plain White T's – Figure It Out Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Wow no comments?? This is one of my favorite songs on the new record!! Obvious what it's about-girl yells at guy, guy ignores her/tells her how he doesn't care, girl just gets more pissed. |
The Dresden Dolls – Shores of California Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I laughed as I read every word. Not that y'all don't have some good points. It's just hysterical how you phrased them. Only thing I feel like adding is that, while this may be a streach, and while it is a recurring theme, perhaps Amanda simply had a shitty night, wrote the song in a passionate rage (work with me here) and for one reason or another it was recorded and made the final cut (it was just too funny to not include). It's a good song for those frustrating times when boys suck (or so you think). Oh, and comment of the day award goes to mockingsmile "Turning out the lights and dancing isn't having sex. It's dancing with the lights off." I seriosuly thinkI fell out of my chair laughing from that. |
The Dresden Dolls – Backstabber Lyrics | 17 years ago |
best video ever. and I say that with love for both bands. best video ever |
Something Corporate – Rock 'n' Roll Band Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This has been my favorite Shel Silverstien poem for about eight years, and soco has been my favorite band for about three years. I wish I could see these guys play this song. |
Something Corporate – Mulligan Goes To War Lyrics | 17 years ago |
With the way Andrew namedrops people from his high school, I would have really hated to piss him. |
Juanes – La Camisa Negra Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I checked the translation against the one I had to do for spanish class, and it looks good. Then again, I could be getting a horrible grade on this. I wouldn't know, I had to turn it in yesterday. My teacher makes us sing this in class. It's actually quite fun. |
Gym Class Heroes – On My Own Time (Write On!) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I couldn't get them all, but here's the list of bands, said at the very end... Boys Night Out New Logic J.J Brown Panic! At The Disco The Academy Is... ?? ?? ?? FOB ?? I Am The Avalance Side One Whole Wheat Bread Ed Moore? Armor for Sleep Weird Science Crabapple Family Upstate New York 3-1-5 ?? ?? ?? Jerry's Eugene Montrof? everybody |
Gym Class Heroes – On My Own Time (Write On!) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I actually think it's "Plush feels safe to me" and hang on, and I can get most of the bands names down |
Taking Back Sunday – Miami Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Okay, so this is really far-fetched, but I jus tthought of it while watching tv...maybe It's about murder. Miami is known for its parties and its crimes (I mean, there's a reason Jerry Brockhimer set one of the CSI shows there) The first thing that made me think was the "a secret silenced..." line. What's the best way of silencing someone? Killing them. Especially during the last chorus you begin to feel it again. I think he gets caught, and has some conflicting ideas of wether or not he deserves to be punished. The line "unhand me, god damn me" shows both his emotions. He wants to be free, although he knows that he will be punished somehow anyway, wether it happens on this earth or whatever spiritual being gets to him. |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator (Louder Now version) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It seems to me it could be about mistakes in general. I did get an abortion-ish feel from it as well, but as the song is so vague, it could really be matched to any life-altering mistake...drunk driving, drug use, whatever. |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I just heard the fantastic four version for the first time, and I think the Louder Now version is ten times better. |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Did any of you who are complaining about the lyrics being repeative ever think that that might be the point??? When most bands write songs, they have one part that needs to be repeated for you to fully understand the song- i.e. the chorus. This song is a musically urgent, fast paced song that rides on adrenaline and urgency. Think about it- when you are in a high stress situation, and you need someone to comprhend something you are telling them, what do you do? You repeate it oveer and over. There's a eason this song is repeative, and it's not becasue the guys are not good songwriters. It's becasue the song calls for urgent, stressed lyrics. |
Head Automatica – Lying Through Your Teeth Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Love this song. Yeah, it's pretty obvious. Girl cheats, boy writes song about it. |
Head Automatica – Curious Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love this song. Erm..really quick analysis..... It's about a guy who likes a girl but doesn't really know her. He's willing to do whatever to get said girl, even if it kills him. He's knows she's no good, and that he probably will end up going over the edge of reason, but he's willing to do it, because he's curious as to what it would be like to be with her. |
Taking Back Sunday – Miami Lyrics | 17 years ago |
You don't have to be Christian to write about God. I go to a catholic school, and most of the girls there aren't catholic, and all the bands that come from that school have at least one song pertaining to God. I can see why people would say this is about god, and I kind of agree. It could go under the broader label of just a struggle of ethics, and being told as a child what was right and wrong and then once you reach adulthood, people tend to throw some of those ideas out the window. Especially in a party setting like Miami. I know people who are great, honest people, but as soon as they get underneath colored lights and have a few drinks, they are someone else entirely. And once someone witnesses that sort of thing, they are no longer the same, becasue they have seen the dark side of mankind. |
Cute Is What We Aim For – Sweat the Battle Before the Battle Sweats You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I always seem to get the "same shit, different day" stuck in my head...and nothing else. It's so irritating |
Cute Is What We Aim For – There's A Class For This Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Yeah, basically it's about how people tend to build themselves up into what they aren't, and how drama is now considard both normal and extraordinary, in the sense that it's constantly happening, yet we still have tv shows about it. Love this song. |
Gym Class Heroes – Scandalous Scholastics Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"material woman" should be "mature woman" "she kissed my ribs" "sacreligious" I think that's it. I actually don't like this song that much. There are better ones on the record. |
Gym Class Heroes – The Queen and I Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Love this song. GCH is the shit. Who knew a hip-hop an emo/pop-punk/whatever could be mixed?? |
Gym Class Heroes – Clothes Off! Lyrics | 17 years ago |
SecondChances- yeah, that's Patrick. As if we needed another reason to love him. I love this song. I agree, acasc is THE summer album. |
Gym Class Heroes – 7 Weeks Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love this song. William Beckett adds so much to the song. Gah, I love this song. |
The Academy Is... – The Phrase That Pays Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Yeah, I agree, it's about looking back and wanting to change things about your life. I love the conversation between the doctor and the patient. |
The Hush Sound – Echo Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It reminds me of my relationship with my mother too. She's always the solid, stedy one, and I'm the wild child. Also reminds me of Endless Sunshine on the Spotless Mind... and I doo see some lines that could reference Bush.... Ah, damn, I just don't know where I'm going with this song. I do love this song. |
The Hush Sound – Lions Roar Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I thought of Big Fish as well. I must admit though, this song was playing in this one nightmare I had, so the song is quite scary to me now. |
The Sounds – Queen of Apology Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Wow, no comments yet.... that's sad. this is a great song. Anyway... I'm thinking the narrator is a partier who looks for one night stands rather than a real relationship. The "quick fix" is what she wants, but once she gets it, she realizes that there's more to a relationship than the sex. She fears that she'll never learn from her mistakes and just keep repeating them ("This will be the death of me") She may often find herself in these senarios with taken men/women, or she just hates the situation so much she feels guilty for it- making her the "Queen of Apology" (think about it- what do you do when you are guilty? You apologize) She tries to fight her way out of this trap, but keeps falling back in. |
The Hush Sound – Magnolia Lyrics | 17 years ago |
My aunt is a florist, and when I asked her what magnolias stood for, she said perserverence and nobility. I think the song is about someone who has just gone through chemo, and feels like they have aged decades over the last few months. They were once young and strong, but now they feel "weathered and worn" and it shows. The patient took a turn for the worst, and got sick enough to land them in the hospital. The narrator is trying to comfort him/her, telling the patient that it is okay to feel like you need to run away, to feel like you need to be cared for. I played this for a woman in my mom's office who is going through chemo, and she loved it. On a side note, does anyone else hear how angry Greta sounds when she sings this?? That confuses me, and is one of the few reasons I half-agree with GuiltyxGirl. |
The Hush Sound – A Dark Congregation Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm thinking that this is about Eileen. THe song on the first record was about her actual death, and this song is about the aftermath, and how Greta felt having to deal with the loss of her friend after the inital shock. |
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – Face Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
So here's a bit of irony.... I'm watching tv, and the video for this song comes on...then the next video is Buchcherry's "Crazy Bitch" |
The Hush Sound – We Intertwined Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It is such an upbeat song...al;though the lyrics give it the irony |
The Hush Sound – Out Through The Curtain Lyrics | 18 years ago |
My favorite song off the new record, by far. |
The Hush Sound – Don't Wake Me Up Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is such a finals song. |
The Hush Sound – Sweet Tangerine Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I am in love with this song!! Canlt wait for the record to come out!! Anyway, the meanings pretty obvious. Narrator is a stalker who is head over heels for someone, and watches them, always desperatly wanting them, but always unsure if he/she should make a move, becasue the last time he/she did, he/she didn't get the reaction he/she wanted. |
Head Automatica – Graduation Day Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It took me so long to figure out that Gerard was singing back vocals...but I must say, I am pleased with the results! Love this song. |
Rihanna – Pon De Replay Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Foxwing, Mexican isn't a language. God, talk about annoying. What annoys me more than rap/hiphop and the people who like it are people who think "Mexican" is a language. |
Bright Eyes – True Blue Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song was written strictly for his nephew. Conor didn't even think of releasing it when he wrote it. Matt (his brother) said that his son wanted Conor to write a song about the color blue, so he did. It was a birthday present. WHich makes the song even cuter if you ask me. It made Matt happy to. |
Fall Out Boy – Star 67 (Intro) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It is rather creepy, what with the meanacing sound of the chant...it still kicks ass, though. |
Fall Out Boy – Hand of God Lyrics | 18 years ago |
October's AP has Pete saying it's about the WEbzines, which makes sense, seeing as they suck...still, great song, PEte's lyrics are amazing, and although I can kind of see why it didn't make the record, I still wish it did. |
Fall Out Boy – Austin, We Have a Problem Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It's a direct response to how they felt after playing South by Southwest.... definatly on of the downers that never quite made it, but its worth downloading Got to agree with cmama06...only Patrick could pull that sttuter off with an ounce of sex appeal. |
Fall Out Boy – Honorable Mention Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is one of the few songs they enjoyed playing live, becasue it didn't suck like most of FOBEOWYGF ( I hate typing that). I love this song, and I can see how it would be about Say Anything..., which is an amazing movie. I love this song. And I'm sooo friggin happy that they are playing it on BC&U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
