Great Song!! I think its about society and how most people or at least manycome to realize too late that they have become something they didn't want to...and how all their dreams are now lost.

I think many of Eddie's song are about himself but written as it to appear is someone else...In this case is about his life, not being to be always there for friends or family and seeming far and different in the public life....but when he comes back he is the same Eddie as he has always been...until he is off again!

I think this is a song Eddie writes about himself when he is not fitting in or just feels different or odd to those around him (might be media, might not). He decides to go away and do what he likes and suddenly he is free "given to fly"...he comes back to those he loves and the cycle might repeat again...he doesn't give a fuck because he still is going to be the way he is...sometimes he is seen again "a strange spot in the sky. A human being that was given to fly." The beauty with Eddie's lyrics...it could mean something different to anyone...
