Coheed and Cambria – Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial) Lyrics
| 17 years ago
|
The next book is going to be a Volume II, and they're going to release a Volume II, CD. This book will complete the story, and the story will end. The book after that is going to be the history of the characters, Coheed and Cambria, the father and mother of Claudio (the Character), and Brother and Sister-in-Law of Inferno. A prequel. It's going to be called something like "The Bag.On.Line Adventures" or something weird like that. Claudio Sanchez is also writing books about the character Inferno, (The Prize (Prise??) Fighter Inferno) I think it has something to do with Inferno's history.
This song is about Ten Speed, the big possessed bike that haunts The Writers dreams/waking-dreams. TenSpeed tries to convince The Writer to kill off Ambelina's character, as she has ties with The Writer's ex-lover. TenSpeed is The Writers logical mind or conscience. |

Dream Theater – This Dying Soul Lyrics

What a great song. Very emotional lead harmony it has. Haha, I agree with Aniland, that at about 7:18 it sounds a fair bit like 'Blackened' By Metallica. Gotta love Petrucci's solo, shredding like the master he is. |

Zakk Wylde – Road Back Home Lyrics

Although it kinda starts off like some 80's pop love song with the synth at the start, it get's better as it goes along and ends pretty strong with the solo. |

Gaddamn, this song should've featured on an album. More people would know it that way. That little thing John does over the second verse. Beautiful. Nah screw it, I cannot pick a single flaw, so the whole freakin' lot is beautiful. |

Black Sabbath – Snowblind Lyrics

I like this song a whole hell of a lot. I'm not even going to say what it means, because it's obvious. Zakk Wylde did an excellent cover on the Kings of Damnation bonus disc, along with others like No More tears, Whiter shade of pale, Heart of gold, The Wizard, In my time of dying and Come together.
I reckon that Zakk's rendition pays homage to this bloody good song. |

Slayer – Angel Of Death Lyrics

I think someone got a pair o' vice-grips and grabbed Tom Araya by the goolies really, REALLY hard for him to be able to scream like that at the start. Way back in the day, when I first heard this song, I thought it was King swingin' off the whammy.
I don't think any of Slayer are nazis. Woop dee doo if Hanneman collects Nazi militaria, He's a collector.... Woop dee doo if some of their merchandise has pictures of skulls wearing German helmets, they sell like hotcakes! People see them and think... 'Wow, This is a picture of a German WW2 style helmet, people who wore these helmets were tough customers, I can look tough if I wear this shirt'.
I think we can all safely say that the VAST majority of the German population ARE NOT nazis. So stop apologising for something you didn't do, something your country doesnt even believe in anymore, and something you cannot ever fix. Sure it left a fairly big stain on Germany, but I think everyone else is over it, so why can't you be? |

Slayer – Haunting The Chapel Lyrics

Title track of the 1984 album. Pretty much about zombies, demons and the forces of Hell, etc. raising up and destroying a church. Pretty decent solo, trademark halfway-through-solo swap between King and Hanneman. |

Bloody good song. I put this song on whenever I get angry, sometimes when I listen to it, my anger goes away...as a kind of chill tune. But other times it makes me more angry. |

Slayer – I Hate You (Verbal Abuse cover) Lyrics

I kinda think it's a bit basic, and don't really like it all that much, "Undisputed Attitude" is a cover album of old punk, and I'm PRETTY SURE that this one was by Minor Threat. But yeah, don't quote me on that.
I s'pose it's still Slayer so it has some credential.

Man-oh-man, that mad riff that begins at 0:47, is totally boner-ific, And that palm muted bit at 3:37 with (I think they're natural) harmonics, and they get higher. Kicks my arse everytime, and I LOVE IT! |

I agree with Cpt Blood Sausage in the way that rappers who write controversial songs get big bucks only because they talk about guns, sex, theft, murder... I mean, i can understand why they do it ($$$$$$$) but I ain't buying |
