This is basically an attempt to make up for all the misogynism in the early albums. That and a tribute to Mr. "Frankencock". Scary thought: With the amount of odd fetishes out there, there must be someone out there who is actually jacking off to the thought of this. Love this song, and can't wait to see Cannibal Corpse live again. |

Cannibal Corpse, like most Death Metal, puts a lot more emphasis on the music than the lyrics. The speed, technacility, and over-all "heavyness" of it is what attracted me to Cannibal Corpse, and other good Death Metal bands. Now, onto the lyrics. Most Cannibal Corpse lyrics, especially the early ones, were made to accompany the songs with gruesome imagery. Their goal was to try and match the intensity of the lyrics with the intensity of the music. Also, the vocal patterns for the songs always work together perfectly. These lyrics were not made with any deeper meaning intended, except maybe for a catharsis of anger(which is probably why so many people in South America and Eastern Europe love this stuff). It's the music that counts, and if it's not what you enjoy, then fine. Just like you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, don't judge a band by its lyrics. |
