i think mtv should just end, and up and coming bands could get promoted through performances on latenight shows or snl or something, that way, you could see a band, without hearing mtv glorify them, without people saying they dont like them, and just hear the band perform their single with un-biased ears, and make up your own mind on the song, that way you could also hear what the band sounds like live(and im done with the fallout boy bashing besides this, but fallout boy sounded really bad when i saw them perform on tv last year, stump clearly has some help with his voice in the studio), and if a band cant cut it live, then i wont give them a chance, because then that means that the singer had his voice changed to sound good on record or they fuck up their own music, which both of those is considerably unacceptable if you are getting payed millions to play music i can see how someone would think the chorus to this song is catchy, but how can you call a band your fav on just catchy, when there is really no depth to the lyrics and the music doesnt really take much talent to make |

pearl jam was much bigger than gnr in the nineties ten sold 12 million vs sold 7 million vitalogy sold 5 million no code-1 million yield-1.5 gnr didnt do anything close to that, they were the biggest band of the eighties, not the nineties i never said audioslave not sounding like soudgarden made them bad, but they havent done anything groundbeaking, they sound a little tired in my opinion |
