Chris Garneau – Relief Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Clearly you misunderstood, I didn't word it very well. I meant he was writing this song about a person, I chose a girl, I don't know why. I guess it would be more fitting to choose a male. And I don't see why it can't be about drugs. Or even just a problem in general. You're right, I do have my opinions, and I see no reason why you have to disregard mine just because you find a different meaning in the song. |
Chris Garneau – Baby's Romance Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's "the ladys' got no clue she's at the shop" and, "the baby sleeps against graveyard flower pots, the baby's sleeping up against you, i'd think he'd prefer an old motel cot" |
Chris Garneau – First Place!! Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I don't know if you got those lyrics from a different version, but here are the lyrics from the one on the album: You have killed them And you don't know why Your lips they move But they only lie Your house is white Its got nice things inside When you are through you better run and ahide You know, you know, you know You know, you know, you know This brigade of Girls and boys We will ride of you And of your dangerous toys Like father like Son and so On and so forth You know, you know, you know You know, you know, you know But we will win first place And we'll never tell you how But you shoulda known by now You have killed them And you don't know why Keep it down It's no big news You know, you know You know, you know |
Chris Garneau – Relief Lyrics | 16 years ago |
For some reason I think this song is about a drug problem, or a problem in general she had. Like, her "good old friend" is her addiction to drugs, and by seeing the sea come in, it was like her relapse. By not asking, he's worn himself out asking her to stop, and he couldn't possibly ask again. Then by saying he likes the way she dances, he loves the way she is in her purest form, drug free, problem free. He loves her the way she is, and he's trying to convince himself that they will work it out, and that the problem will pass by. The next part, hearing her word. Maybe she's said she'd stop, and he keeps remembering these words she spoke. Sinning in red could be wrath. Red referring to anger. He's angry that she broke her word. |
Metric – White Gold Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Well, white gold IS another term for cocaine. And if you read over the lyrics, it does make quite a bit of sense. |
