okay well since no one else wants to share their thoughts on the meaning i will. and i just have to say that this is one of my favorite songs by them. i love the way he uses his voice to get his point across. i think its about this guy who always liked this girl for who she was but the girl got caught up in thinking that hollywood and fame and what everyone else thought about her was all that mattered. he wants to take back everything he had ever said about her because it's not like she cares about him anymore anyway. he knows that this isn't who she really is and he's not impressed because she just changing to fit in and be like everyone else. he's just kind of sitting back and watching her lie to everyone and he's just kind of disappointed in the person she's becoming. i'm sorry if all this makes no sense. that's just what i got out of the song. x3 |

i definately agree with strbrstcyl, mostly because when i first heard this song i could really relate to that situation. "Don't be so scared to take a second for reflecion, to take a leave of absence to see what your made of." i think that part is kind of saying "You need to find yourself and just go with your gut feeling" i don't really know. music is poetry and good poetry can be interpretted in a lot of different ways so interpret it however you want i suppose. x3 |

i love this song and it's very catchy. i think it's about someone who is dying to just be noticed and he wants it so bad that it almost hurts but he doesn't want to seem desperate so he pretends it's no big deal. he knows what they would have if he just had a chance to show her, but it'll never happen. idk. that's just my take on the song. i'm inlove with this band.x3 |

okay first off i totally agree, this song's wikid addicting. and if you don't like a song don't even bother commenting. it's pointless because you'll just look like an idiot for looking up lyrics to songs you don't like. and yea i couldn't find much meaning in this song except for what afterglowrx already said. but isn't it: "Yeah, that’s the scheme, that’s HOW we do, that’s who we be", not "that's who we do, that's who we be" i don't know i just hear "how" when i listen to it. either way...i'm completely addicted. |

| To me this song means that basically everything "we" do is killing us slowly but we don't really mind because we're living in the moment. "the drugs they numb and they keep us sane" means that everything that's meant to kill us is the only stuff that can keep us alive. I don't know what it is about this song but it's so good and so true. I love it. | |
