Immortal Technique – You Never Know Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Rommyy, did you listen to the song? She wanted to love him, to have sex with him, but she couldn't because she had HIV. He didn't know this at the time, not until he got the letter from her mom after she did. She didn't want to get close to him, so she cried. He was confused by this; he really loved her and this made him "cold". Understand? |
John Legend – P.D.A. (We Just Don't Care) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Here's an accurate, grammatically correct version of the lyrics. You're welcome. The song is self-explanatory. .... Let's go to the park I wanna kiss you underneath the stars Maybe we'll go too far We just don't care We just don't care We just don't care You know I love it when you loving me Sometimes it's better when it's publicly I'm not ashamed I don't care who sees us hugging & kissing our love exhibition, oh We rendezvous out on the fire escape I'd like to set off an alarm today The love emergency don't make me wait Just follow I'll lead you I urgently need you, oh Let's go to the park I wanna kiss u underneath the stars Maybe we'll go too far We just don't care We just don't care We just dont Let's make love, let's go somewhere they might discover us Let's get lost in lust We just don't care We just don't care We just don't care I see you closing down the restaurant Let's sneak and do it when your boss is gone Everybody's leaving; we'll have some fun Or maybe it's wrong but u turn me on Ooh, we'll take a visit to your Mama's house Creep to the bedroom while your Mama's out Maybe she will hear it when we scream and shout And we will keep it rocking until she comes knocking, oh Let's go to the park I wanna kiss you underneath the stars Maybe we'll go too far We just don't care We just don't care We just don't Let's make love, let's go somewhere they might discover us. Let's get lost in lust We just don't care We just don't care We just don't care If we keep up all this fooling around We'll be the talk of the town I'll sail the world, oh my love, in time Let's open up the blinds 'cause we really don't mind Ooh, I don't care about propriety Let's break the rules--ignore society Maybe our neighbor like to spy, it's true So what if they watch when we do what we do, ohh Let's go to the park I wanna kiss you underneath the stars Maybe we'll go too far We just don't care We just don't care We just don't |
Kanye West – Heard 'Em Say (feat. Adam Levine) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
"Allah hu Akbar" not "Abu akbar" It means God is Great in Islam, one of the most hateful religions in the world. Terrorists/Radical muslims shout it after killing soldiers or civilians in the name of Allah. |
Anberlin – Cadence Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"great song... for all of you who didnt know Anberlin is a christian band and thats so great." Actually they resent being called a christian band. They said they believe in Christ, but their music is a separate entity from their beliefs. If you were a true fan of the band you would know that. |
Anberlin – Godspeed Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is clearly about drug overdose. Neverland is fantasy land, the state your in while under the effects of drugs. "White lines, black tar, The matches" - cocaine, heroin, fire. "Is this another death by misadventure" - misadventure being overdose. The adventure is taking drugs (hence Neverland). "needles and lovers" - needles to shoot heroin and is obviously doing it with a lover. "don't fall asleep, stay with me tonight" - don't die on me. "God save the eyes that are dim tonight" - dim eyes = dying. someone is praying to god to save her from dying. "Kill yourself slowly over time (over time) Fashion statement suicide (suicide) She's still asleep in the Chelsea hotel Bad turns to worse And the worse turns into hell" -drugs, the one's using and being referred to in this song are celebrities. chelsea hotel housed many celebs who OD'd. she's sleeping (dying) bad turns to worse and then she dies. |
Something Corporate – Me And The Moon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
and just to clarify from the post before, it is not "HER" blood. it is "THE" blood. this isn't a suicide. |
Something Corporate – Me And The Moon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I'm gonna break this song down. Its a good year for a murder -This is the good time in her life for a murder She's praying to Jesus, she's pulling the trigger There's no tears, cause he's not here -She's praying but he's not responding She washes her hands, and she fixes the dinner But soon they'll be coming, to rush her away -She does the last of her role as a mother. "They" is the police. No one's so sure if her crime had a reason -Why did she do it? Reasons like seasons They constantly change And the seasons of last year Like reasons have floated away -Reasons change. There wasn't really a solid reason for what she did but she felt she had to do it. Away with this spilt milk Away with this dirty dish water, away Seventeen years, and all that he gave was a daughter -No more of her role as a mother. 17 years of marriage and all her husband had was one daughter. "It's me and the moon," she says I got no trouble with that -The moon follows you wherever you go so it is seen as a companion. Really she is alone, but she doesn't have a problem with that because she's free. But i am a butterfly, you wouldn't let me die -Butterfly is a metaphor for breaking free. Right now she's in a cocoon--trapped in other words. She wants to break free of this life style, but her husband won't let that happen for whatever reason. And it's over, but just started -She pulls the trigger and kills him. It's over but it happened so quick. The blood stained the carpet Her heart like a crystal She's lucid and departed A life left behind, she can find in her mind gone away -Not sure about the heart like a crystal reference. Lucid and departed means she's free. The life she leaves behind is now out of her mind. Away with these nightmares Away with suburbia Shakedown away -Escaping her past You marry a role and You give up your soul til you break down -You marry into her role as a mother but the trade off in your soul. She broke down. But what do you say we go for a ride? What do you say we get high? But I'm so tired of days that feel like the night -She's talking to the moon here. Days that feel like night I think is just depression. Days are supposed to be happy and night time is quiet and dreary. Days that are night most likely means depression from what I take of it. I am a butterfly, I am a butterfly, I am a butterfly -She's finally free. So no, it's not suicide at all. Great song. Great album, too. |
The Fall of Troy – Oh! The Casino!? Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's about losing a girl and how someone can lose it all like at casinos. That's just my interpretation anyway |
The Fall of Troy – Act One, Scene One Lyrics | 16 years ago |
this song is either about having sex with a prostitute or having an affair |
The Fall of Troy – A Man. A Plan. A Canal. Panama Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"A Man. A Plan. A Canal. Panama." is a palindrome (same spelled backwards). Here's more info about the civil rights incident: "Long before he was known in Washington, Gerald Ford showed his character and his leadership. As a star football player for the University of Michigan, he came face to face with racial prejudice when Georgia Tech came to Ann Arbor for a football game. One of Michigan's best players was an African American student named Willis Ward. Georgia Tech said they would not take the field if a black man were allowed to play. Gerald Ford was furious at Georgia Tech for making the demand, and for the University of Michigan for caving in. He agreed to play only after Willis Ward personally asked him to. The stand Gerald Ford took that day was never forgotten by his friend. And Gerald Ford never forgot that day either -- and three decades later, he proudly supported the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act in the United States Congress." http://www.whitehouse.gov/ford/ |
Young Jeezy – Soul Survivor (feat. Akon) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is absolute crap. Basically 2 paranoid coke dealers, akon and jeezy, are laying low are trying to "survive" in life rolling around with gats and other accessories and traits that make them stereotypical gangstas. Oh wait, I've heard this song before. It's called EVERY OTHER SONG EVER MADE BY SOUTHERN BLACK RAPPERS. Listen to Murs, Lupe Fiasco, Gym Class Heroes those are all artists with TALENT unlike squeaky voices, akon singing convict in almost every song he's in, and horrible beats that must literally take 2 days to fabricate. This is absolute garbage, and further degrades what was once a beautiful race. |
Johnny Cash – (Ghost) Riders in the Sky (Stan Jones cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Music today is absolute crap. While 50 cent makes good beats that sound nice to listen to, the lyrics are absolute $H1+. The new linkin park sounds just like all their old stuff, and after listening to their new single "What I've Done" it sounded like i've heard it a million times already and become old after the second playthrough. There's very few talented artists out there today, which has led me to look to the past for older artists. Cash is simply amazing. Hard to describe, but he's got such a good flow it's hard to ignore this him. |
Gym Class Heroes – Cupid's Chokehold Lyrics | 17 years ago |
shorti, don't smoke crack and use the internet. As you've proved, it leads to bad results. anyway, i think the song is about someone who isn't sure what "love is" but thinks he's found the person he wants to marry. as far as the chorus, i know it was taken from superstramps "breakfast in america" song but the last 2 lines of the chorus seem to be contradicting to the rest of the song, unless he's saying he doesn't get a lot of poontang from her or something. my 2 cents |
The Fall of Troy – What Sound Does a Mastadon Make? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
3:20 to 3:55 has the best progressive transition of any rock song i've ever listened to. |
Lupe Fiasco – And He Gets the Girl Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It's "Thelonius Monk" btw. Not "The Lonliest Monk" Thelonius Monk was a Jazz musician. He played the piano and composed music. He died in 1982. |
Lupe Fiasco – And He Gets the Girl Lyrics | 17 years ago |
lol I love the Final Fantasy reference. Great song too; the full version can be listened to exclusively on Rhapsody - which if you're a fan of music you should definitely pay the $10 a month or whatever for this service.) Or I'm sure it's on Limewire or something |
Lupe Fiasco – The Cool Lyrics | 17 years ago |
so what's this song about? from what I make of it, a man was shot to death(?) and buried. their friends gave him a blunt and poured liquor over him. later, hours(?) pass and he wakes up, is reminded of his family and decides to break out. he digs his way up out of the ground. he hits up a train station but sees his reflection and gets shook. he then hits up his old neighboor and notices the cops are the same so not much time has passed, some little kid tries to sell him coke, and the guy being from this town usually selling rocks to people thought it was weird. apparently, the kids at the neighborhood didnt recognize him and decided to rob him. when the kid asked if he was scared he said there's no heaven for a gangsta. it's still pretty ambigious. |
