i have to say that no matter what avril lavigne's lyrics have always been shallow...and always will be. and yes i actually did go and listen to a lot of her other older stuff, and its absolute shit. i cant believe i ever went to her concert, she cant even sing. plus, im sorry girlies but pink is fucking shallow. theres NO depth in that "stupid girls" thing (and yes i do get what the song is about), i bet she'll never be able to write about how we all feed on tragedy eh. go and look up some tool lyrics maybe? gawd you guys are sooo going to laugh at these posts after a few years and be embarrassed. and me too prob, for writing so much shit. but ill give you the greatest advice : listen to radiohead...or tool...or muse. i dunno really, whatever ,just not this! |

ok. to me the voice sounds like its saying "a balance". which would make sense because the noises in the song sound like aeroplanes going and coming. i think they are trying to say that balance is needed in this world or it would fade away...like the weird noises at the end. and from time to time the noises aren't balanced...just like the world isn't. yea its a weird theory but that's how i see it. and its a fucking creepy song. |

well i can definitely relate to this song right now coz i came back 2 days ago from the beach, i spent my summer there and now i feel really depressed and sad. i met awesome people (the lifeguards,yummy) and now i miss them so so so much. we got up to crazy stuff and i have written in my diary about my summer. its a pretty straighforward song. i dont think there is anything to explain. |

well, this song definitely means something to me! its really funny the way i interpret it. LMAO ok i was DYING to buy these Emma Watson shoes on ebay but my dad wouldnt let me bid more than $40 for them coz they were worthless in his opinion. (in RSA $40 is quite steep if you turn it around with our currency) so "hes there in case i wondered off"-hes always around coz i know the password on his account on ebay so it means i can empty his credit card, so hes always there to make sure i dont,in other words i dont wander off with it. "hes scared because i warned"- hes scared because i warned him that i might use more money than im allowed "hes scared in case i want it all"- hes scared in case i want a lot of itmes on ebay and he knows i can always trick him into buying them for me "hes scared casue i want"-personally i think this is "won" not "want",but anyway....my dad is still scared coz i want it, i want everything "all in all the clock is slow"- when i was bidding for those shoes i felt like the time was going by extremely slowly, i wanted it to pass by quicker so i could see if i would win the bid "six colour pictures all in a row"- there were 6 coloured pictures of those shoes all in a row "of a marigold"-marigold means various plants with gold or bright yellow flowers, those shoes had 1 gold shoelace which could kind of represent as 1 of the flowers, because it was tied up in a very nice ribbon-ish way. LOL, well this song isnt all that deep to me,it doesnt have to be,thats just how i see it and i think its a brilliant song! btw,have any of you noticed how somewhere in the middle of the song it sounds like the singe(Kurt or Dave)r is making a kissing noise,like blowing a kiss or something,LOL,it sounds like it. |

Well ill say what this song means to me,not to Kurt. Its just about wanting friends,but maybe "cool" friends so they can also be a trend. And even if you had fallouts before with them you should except them back again. You also want them to come as they are,duh. You want them to be themselves and not someone else, like you would also want to be excepted for who YOU are. and people go discuss Kurt's death elsewhere.
