Neko Case – The Pharaohs Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I'm a male and I don't think those are unrealistic female expectations. |
Neko Case – People Got A Lotta Nerve Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I don't necessarily think the song is about this but the following lines make me think of it: We know They call them killer whales But you seem surprised When it pinned you down to the bottom of the tank Where you can't turn around It took half your leg, and both your lungs And I craved I ate hearts of sharks I know you know, that I'm a man, man, man Man, man, man eater But still you're surprised-prised-prised when I eat ya Those lines make me think of how people do things they know are bad for them, but they crave it, and do it anyway. Things like smoking or heavy drugs, or even just things like obesity. I know smoking a pack of cigs a day is probably going to end up with negitive effects for me, but i crave them and keep buying them. Well should I be suprised then when that happens? |

I think what she sings is what you originally heard. |

Bruce Springsteen – I'll Work For Your Love Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Maybe this song is a song to Mother Theresa. I think it's a beautiful song. I like the verse "Now our city of peace has been crumbled, our book of faith's been tossed. And I'm just out here searchin' for my own piece of the cross." |

i agree with mickey. think it's just about where mainstream music mostly is today. there are not many revolutionaries out there, or anybody really saying anything too serious. not a whole lot of thought seems to be put into music much anymore. there is good music, but most of it isn't found on the radio. |
Number One Gun – We Are Lyrics | 18 years ago |
it sorta says to me that people aren't perfect. people will let others down sometimes. and i sorta see it as it saying just forgive people when it happens, and move on. -gabe derose talala, oklahoma |
Number One Gun – On & On Lyrics | 18 years ago |
jeff (the writer) is married. i'm not sure when he wrote this, but yeah...it sure does sound like he could have written it before he got married to her or something...or maybe wrote it after they were married...regardless though, i think it's about his wife, and not so much God. it sucks...number one gun broke up recently. they'll be missed as a band. -gabe derose talala, oklahoma |
