fun. – All Alone Lyrics 12 years ago
does she seem on a shell or sit on a shelf?

Streetlight Manifesto – Forty Days Lyrics 16 years ago
The horn part of this song reminds me a lot of Here's To Life, especially the BOTAR version

Motion City Soundtrack – Cambridge Lyrics 17 years ago
jason, try to get your hands on the live acoustic version...I didn't really like the song either until I heard that

I Am Ghost – Pretty people never lie - Vampires never really die Lyrics 17 years ago
liek ya i hate it when bandz become popular and lotz of peeps get to here there muzik

oh, wait...that's what bands are trying to do. You know, make a living? So what if they have scene fans? Just...ya know...ignore them. It's not the end of the world when your newest favorite band is played on MTV

Rx Bandits – Saw Red Lyrics 17 years ago
I'm pretty sure this is Sublime

They Might Be Giants – Shoehorn With Teeth Lyrics 17 years ago
Um...a shoehorn helps you put a shoe on, not take it off...

Barenaked Ladies – Bank Job Lyrics 17 years ago
I could see the "bank job" as a metaphor for a relationship, which would tie the phone part in.

You have a relationship, and it all seems perfect, but then a problem comes up, and you deal with it poorly, dooming the relationship

Streetlight Manifesto – Here's To Life Lyrics 17 years ago
This song was never done by C22...

Alkaline Trio – The Poison Lyrics 18 years ago
This is pretty out there, but I was driving home thinking about my ex-girlfriend and this song started playing, and I'm thinking maybe it's about a girl/girls. The rooftop in London and Brooklyn could be like "How can any girl make me feel the same as you did", and if you look at the lines talking about the "poison", they could be talking about an ex.

Reel Big Fish – Alternative, Baby Lyrics 18 years ago
I also love the references to their other songs

Fastball – Out Of My Head Lyrics 18 years ago
Does anybody else notice the irony in that "Don't matter what I say, only what I do..." and then "I never mean to do bad things to you..."? Basically, he says to only follow what he does and not says, but not doing bad things is only what he says....that's kind of confusing but I think you get the point

Fastball – Sooner Or Later Lyrics 18 years ago
This guy wants this girl, but she doesn't want him. Sooner or later, though, she's going to realize he's the one for her, and she can't keep him away. He just needs to give it time.

Also, it's on the Brink! soundtrack, and Brink! is awesome.

Streetlight Manifesto – Supernothing Lyrics 18 years ago
I love the Gimp version. It's slower, but it's amazing

The Hush Sound – The Market Lyrics 18 years ago
I feel like it's a guy who does all of these things for a girl he wants (or vice-versa) but she doesn't feel the same way..."It's worth more to them than it is to you" is like saying that she doesn't put value on these things because of that.

The Hush Sound – Hourglass Lyrics 18 years ago
It seems like the end of a relationship, "every lie and say we'll be friends" And "another long sip...chapped lips" could be referring to a kiss maybe?

Rework the past, pretend we don't have a past might mean trying to forget that they ever dated, hoping to hold onto the friendship?

Compromised until our bodies siezed could be something like setting down some kind of rules to be friends, and the part about being "colder creatures" could refer to coldness of heart as they pretended not to have feelings for each other

Barenaked Ladies – One Week Lyrics 18 years ago
All of your interpretations and stuff are really neat and whatnot, but it's actually just a bunch of random things put together and rhyme

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists – Building Skyscrapers In The Basement Lyrics 18 years ago
the basement thing sounds pretty good to me actually

submissions
The Hush Sound – The Market Lyrics 18 years ago
When I first heard this I thought it was pretty bland, no drums and whatnot. But then I listened to it again and it's absolutely amazing.

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists – Since U Been Gone/Maps Lyrics 18 years ago
I think he sings this higher than Kelly Clarkson, which makes me smile.

And I don't know why he put the Yeah Yeah Yeah lyrics in there, but I like that too.

The Suicide Machines – Give Lyrics 18 years ago
It also looks like a pretty one-sided relationship. The singer tries his best to be a good friend, but all the friend does is take it for granted and treat him poorly, and he's finally realizing it.

Skindred – Selector Lyrics 18 years ago
If I had to guess I'd say this is a tribute of sorts to the band Selector, an older ska band from Britain

Catch 22 – Wine-Stained Lips Lyrics 18 years ago
Yeah...Catch still doesn't suck. The end.

Catch 22 – Chasing The Moon Lyrics 18 years ago
This is definitely regression, not chasing the moon...
