I beg to differ that people don't fall in love listening to Pavement.
I have. I have had my heartbroken to Pavement, and then had it sewn back up to Pavement.
The Pumpkins have not made a significant dent in the life of anyone with whom I'm familiar or my own. Pavement thought, has honestly changed mine.

I'm one of those girls who has to find a song that fits her situation perfectly before she can move on with her life.
The chorus of this song is my life. Trying to get over a ridiculous love, I write...hoping that if I put my emotion into words, I can see how stupid I'm being. This song helped me pull through.
It feels so good feeling that someone famous feels the same way I do. |

I know that like 5 others think this song reminds them of themselves...Well, I do to.
I guess every tomboy/girly-guy who dresses and acts like a rebel would feel the same.
But the torn dress and messy face especially reminds me of me. I wear too much eyeliner that smudges all over the place and all my clothes are ripped.
Bowie really knows how to make someone feel like he wrote songs for them. |

It's the same lyrics, exactly and the Monkees version, but it's much harder. The Monkees were light, happy, cheesy rock. So of course the Sex Pistols are going to scream it.
I didn't know Neil Diamond wrote this... The Monkees never wrote their own songs anyways. |

This song really surprised me. I thought that all the Louis XIV song would be raunchy, fun, sexy, and have a humorous twist to them, until I heard the last two songs on The Best Little Secrets Are Kept.
This song is so powerful and different. I think it means, once your life has fallen apart, you can't fix it. You can't be the same again. |

This is probably my favorite song right now.
At first, before I read the lyrics, I thought Dominque was murdered. "Your last stroll down the block was in the trunk of a car" could mean she was killed and shoved in a car... But it makes much more sense that she commit suicide. |

I, for one, do not think this song is at all about drugs. I think this is Tom's way of saying sorry to a teen he picked up. He was expecting a fling, but she became attatched and he broke her heart. "I'm a bad boy cause I don't even miss her. I'm a bad boy for breaking her heart." |
