Perhaps this song is dedicated to one of Dave's close friends in real life because this is his favourite song out of all he's written apparently, I think it could be.
I don't know if its about self-harming or something more; the line 'Don't ever do that again, never end it, no I cannot watch you die' - made me think it meant don't end it, because he would feel worthless without the girl..........but the self-harming thing makes a lot of sense too...

People are saying this is one of the weakest on the album but I think it stands up really well, especially with the new video - I think it really compliments it.
The lyrics are pretty self-explanitory, it's a combination of things, the fakeness of today's society, a clear insight into Sonny's feelings about finding out he was adopted also, like someone else mentioned Heroine has a lot of subtle implications about finding out he was adopted...Afterbirth also has a few lyrics that suggest he's talking about the adopted parent thing...
But going back to the song I think it's an amazing track that will hopefully get all the recognition it deserves..and the album too ! It really is 10/10, FFTL never fail to produce great albums and songs. |

I don't think it's suckish at all, I think they do the genre-combining thing very skillfully and successfully - well atleast they DID do until they split up -sob-
This track, by far one of their best. It reminds me of From First To Last's new album a bit, which is a bit more experimental too.

Probably my favourite InMe song, so absolutely fucking moving..I love it.
Yes beni I agree with you in that this song is tonally very tragic - he could either have lost a girl physically or just broken up a relationship..or maybe the relationship's in a bad place and he feels he is on the way to losing her.

It sounds very promising when Ville begins with his distinct, beautiful vocals. But when Lauri breaks into his line, it just doesn't work. Could have picked a better match for Ville's vocals definitely. But as a whole I really like the song. |
