Yes I love this album, but I do love Ascendancy more. And darkAlias, I don't know if you're joking or not, but I don't they're condemning any of those things; I think they're speaking from the point of view of individuals in those positions. I think this song has a double entendre really, talking about a literal war, with everybody shooting off bombs and fighting over petty things, and the war against that which is different and misunderstood. I do agree that the clean vocals don't make it bad. MKH sounds a lot like James Hetfield, but once you've heard the album quite a bit, you won't even remember that lol. |

Like everybody's said so far, life will come at you hardcore and you've just got to grit your teeth and take it. And afterwards the experience will have bettered you in some way. That's the underlying I see. As far as you can hear in the lyrics, it's about a great storm causing a shipwreck. Then, they "crawl out from the wreckage" and march "into the mouth of hell." I can see how some people see that solo out of place, but think about it, it's actually right in perfect place, right after the "into the mouth of hell we march" part. Fantastic song, I still have to get the whole album. Oh and, metallic slayer, we are one in the same; I love The Crusade as well ;) |

Well I was going to say that I think this song is about somebody close that he really cares about, but he's not sure of her feeling for him, due to past actions, and he doesn't want to know, so as to not be hurt, but you guys already touched on that a few times. This is one of the more emotional songs on the album. It sounds personal to me. Like about someone that was close to Maria. But yeah I think the production of the CD coulda done better here, cuz during the chorus, her voice overpowers. But I can still look past that, cuz it's a badass album. |
