Oasis – Let's All Make Believe Lyrics

Certainly the most overrated oasis song ever. On inet people go on and on about this song but really, it's nothing more than ordinary. Even from this site you can see the lyrics are crap. |

Oasis – Who Put The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders? Lyrics
| 17 years ago
|
This song means a lot to me. I think of it in terms of my status with my girlfriend: she's in university while I'm taking the year off to work, so I rarely see her, and I feel that my inability to try and progress in our relationship places the weight of the world on my shoulders. |

Oasis – Whatever Lyrics

This song is great, but it's not that great. The way I see it, any of Noel's song could have been a single. Why does this one get special emphasis? I suppose it doesn't matter. People are people. They'll get their opinions fed to them. |

Oasis – The Importance Of Being Idle Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
Self-explanatory title. Lazy solo, lazy chord progression, unimaginative, and just plain old uninteresting. Sorry Noel, you blew it. This song sucks. I can't wait until the DBTT hype dies down and when more people realize how crummy this song is. Shame on Noel. |

Not really. It's cliched. I could write something like that. In fact, I have. And it's much better. |

Why are there so many comments? It's an okay song. I just don't see why people prefer this over greater material like little by little, or songbird. |

Our Lady Peace – Innocent Lyrics

I'm with **ViX**, this song is a good olp song. Sure, OLP are still mainstream. Why is that a problem? As long as the song is good, that's all that matters. Whatever connection you have to this song, share it. Don't give us our opinions. It's a masterpiece. I realize I'm 3 years too late to answer this. Tant pis. |

Our Lady Peace – Don't Stop Lyrics
|
Guys, fuck off, this isn't about something silly like a blow job. This is possibly OLP's greatest song out of their catalogue. I routinely check out ourladypeace.cc for updates, and each time I view the tour list, this song is the only one that has yet to be played live. What the hell? This is one of their better songs, and they don't play it live? I'm baffled. This song is what the album is about - healthy in paranoid times. That is the biggest let down of OLP -their failure to play it live, even worse, a lack of fan recognition. Shame. |

Our Lady Peace – Wipe That Smile Off Your Face Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
Disappointing song. Clearly, it's about the Bush administration, and their obvious misdeeds, and improper conduct (to put things lightly) but the melody is uninteresting, and it ruins the HIPT album, along with walking in circles, and apology. Please, write better songs guys. They should have waited a few years more to release a twelve tracked CD with better songs. Sorry guys, you got duped. |

Our Lady Peace – Bring Back The Sun Lyrics

Wishyouwerehere, guess what? I saw them in Ottawa in early 2003 as well? Weren't they great? Anyways...
Yes, this song, as many people have suggested, is about a relationship, to the extent of a marriage one might assume (we shouldn't have to fight...or worry 'bout the bills tonight) but when the chorus kicks in, you just feel that song is a major turn-around for couples that who's relationship is slipping on the rocks. Truly, this song is one of OLP's best. I'm glad I lived long enough to hear it. |

Our Lady Peace – 4 A.M. Lyrics
|
When I was 9 years old, my father passed away. Though I was fortunate enough not to be scarred as a result, I still feel sad that when he died, I never had a chance to say goodbye. Worse than that, I rarely knew him as it is. So his death left us in despair, but most of all for me, a mystery. I didn't know him. But these lyrics, this song, all of it: a beautiful song which captures what it is I feel towards my father. Even though he died on me when I needed him the most, I still love him. To those who spoke of a similar life story here, thank you. It's good to know that there are others who share this pain. |

Our Lady Peace – Angels/Losing/Sleep Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
I don't think this has political connotations. I think it's a classic case some sort of imminent danger, but not necessarily physical, but a mental danger. The angels just represent that spiritual aspect of our lives. They, being asleep, is the danger. I guess. But I like the ideas people have written here. |

Matthew Good – It's Been A While Since I Was Your Man Lyrics

I love this song. It reminds me of my girlfriend, who I've been with for over two years. Here we are at different universities, and it's unlikely I'll be seeing her, let alone living with her for a VERY long time. This is the best song from WLR+RR |

Matthew Good Band – Going All The Way Lyrics

To me, this song is about putting up a good fight against your enemy - and if there's nothing left to die for, then you and me, let's go out going all the way - basically saying, let's fight it to the end. |

This to me, is about my girlfriend. I'm not saying she is fearless, but considerably less fearful than I am, that to me she appears that way, and that fearlessness influences me to be less fearful - I like to her inspiration and confidence. |

Hardly a guitar solo to speak of. Predictable chord progression. Liam speaks most of the song, and it just isn't catchy. It's not powerful. Poorly written.

Oasis – The Quiet Ones Lyrics

|
I can't believe no one commented on this song. It's a sweet little number, written by guitarist Gem Archer. It's a simple acoustic song, which to be honest, has Liam's best vocals on it. Worthy of Don't Believe The Truth. Worthy of Oasis. |

Matthew Good Band – Man of Action Lyrics

This is probably the best introduction to an album ever made. This song makes you want to be a man of action. It makes you want to do something. I think this song is actually about Shakespeare's Hamlet. Do you see why? |

Matthew Good Band – Giant Lyrics

It's hard to know what to make of this song. It's not quite a love song, but at that the same time, it's talking to someone who's a conformist to some degree. I think it's just a bunch of mixed feelings shared by two people. |

Matthew Good Band – Radio Bomb Lyrics

This song means to me some sort of anarchy - the sound of freedom. I guess the bomb can represent an explosive element in society, which is the freedom of expression. This song is very exciting. I recommend everyone give this song a listen. It's anarchy, I tell you! I love it. |

Oasis – Columbia Lyrics
|
I couldn't agree more with stoolhardy about this song. The lyrics are too vague. But one does not listen to this song for the lyrics - the lyrics are facile and irrelevant. It wouldn't be better off as an instrumental (according to Liam on the definitely maybe DVD, it nearly was) but the lyrics allow the song's build, and a chance for Noel to kick more ass as the song progresses. It's quite anthemic. |

Oasis – Sittin' Here In Silence (On My Own) Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
This song is too short. It could've gone somewhere, and let's face it, I'm hardly surprised no one posted this song before I did. It's not classic, it's not meaningful. It's perfectly filler. It doesn't suck, it just doesn't go anywhere, as opposed to all oasis songs which have an idea to them. |

Oasis – Keep the Dream Alive Lyrics

Definitelyjoshua, the chorus is good, what the hell are you talking about? This is the most epic thing written by oasis since roll it over. In fact, I have it on the best authority that this is going to be released as a single in Canada alone, and I know it because I saw commercials for it. Andy Bell, congrats, you're written a killer tune. It will top the charts - just you watch joshua. |

Oasis – Part of the Queue Lyrics

I don't get this song - can someone tell me where the goodness of this song lies? I can't really stand it to tell the truth. There's nothing in this song that catches on. The solo, is quite nice, but elsewise, it's not much to say. Worst song on the album. |

Hmm...this song definitely has a different sound to it, compared to their previous songs. This is a genius tune by Liam. No one really knows who it's about, but one can assume it's his sons/wife or the whole family. Who knows. I love this song. |

Oasis – (As Long As They've Got) Cigarettes In Hell Lyrics

I love this song! It sounds like dear prudence (surprise, surprise) but what's even better is the fact that this is exactly the christian's worst song to listen to by oasis. I mean, I get a good laugh when I hear the chorus "I don't mind not going to heaven as long as they've got cigarettes in hell" fucking brilliant.
Oh, and it's 'table hopping' not hogging. Cheers. |
