"Each empty snakelike body floats,
Silent sorrow in empty boats."
One of the best lines I've ever read. |

Atreyu – Becoming the Bull Lyrics

I'll start by saying that I've NEVER liked Atreyu, I've always thought their music was boring, the lyrics were stupid, and they singer's voice annoyed me...but this is a new low. When i heard it on the radio I thought the dj must have accidentally said "Atreyu" instead of "Good Charlotte". |

Emperor – Into The Infinity Of Thoughts Lyrics

Lots of people hate the shitty production in black metal...but I like it here, it suits the darkness of the song well. It sounds almost like a crack opened up in the earth and someone recorded the sounds coming out of hell. Creepy. |

Tool – Rosetta Stoned Lyrics

I just want to say right now, he didn't actually shit the bed... shit the bed is a phrase that means to fail, or basically fuck up. Like being revealed the details of our ending, but forgetting to write them down. Or, youd could, as always, take it both ways. |

It's only 6/4, not that remarkable, so does it really matter who came up with it? Anyway this is one of my favorite songs. |

Tool – No Quarter (Led Zeppelin cover) Lyrics

ColoradoSurfer, I appreciate your entusiasm for Tool, and your praise of Led Zeppelin, but don't be a twat. There's no band that's better than anoher as a fact. It's just something pretentious musicians say to make themselves elite. Music is all just personal taste in the end, so it's not 100% fact that LZ is better, or the Beatles or Pink Floyd or the Rolling Stones are the best, or even good at all. If you think Led Zeppelin are the best ever, so be it. If you think Tool are the best, so be it. If you think Fall Out Boy is the best ever, I think your the dumbest ever, but so be it. |

Tool – Triad Lyrics

One question: Why the hell do I always see people talking about how this song makes them feel energetic, full of life, and all this positive shit? To me, it emanates violence, anger and very negative feelings. |

charish2k1, that was one of very few intelligent posts I've seen on this site, and you're absolutely right. It's up to you which version you like better, but people need to keep in mind that just because Led Zeppelin are old, does make them automatically better, or worse for that matter. People are so stupid. |

Just thought I'd throw in a dumb fun fact, this song was named after an Australian Progressive band, one of the obscure bands Mike has in his collection. |

Opeth – The Grand Conjuration Lyrics

Yes, it's about some sort of resurrection/worship of Satan or perhaps a follower inviting his possession. But you Christian Opeth fans can relax! It's just part of the concept of the album, which I believe (just off the top of my head, I did no real digging) to be about a person who joined the ranks of Satan after the death of his mother. This song kicks ass too, as well as the video, even though it was cut for length, leaving it basically castrated. I really like Per's keyboards in this one, symphonic Opeth is sweet. |

System of a Down – Hypnotize Lyrics

Pretty simple, classic SOAD subject matter: Television and politicians have us caught in a lifestyle that revolves around fashion and the small picture, as opposed to the kids protesting at Tiananmen Square. Anyway, amazing song, I personally think its one of their best.
And enrules IS full of shit. |

Nine Inch Nails – Only Lyrics

The song is definitely referring to addiction, meaning he made up the reasons or something that made him turn to the addictive substance. That's my take. But the song really is awesome. I can't help but sing the chorus! And I 've spent all this time hearing that the song sucked. Everyone was wrong! |

This song totally blew me away. I always saw A7x compared Atreyu, and I fucking hate Atreyu, so I downloaded this just to prove to myself they sucked too, but wow! It's such a beautiful song! And it amazes that there's actually a suicide song out there that's original! |

Tool – No Quarter (Led Zeppelin cover) Lyrics
| 19 years ago

Yeah, I feel this is better than the original. And we should quit asserting which is better and what guitarists are better... opinion is all that matters.
This is genius... Maynard's voice is incredible. And Adam's solos! In the electric solo and the outro Adam does 70s rock better than 70s rock bands could have. I love how Tool can bend anything into their own mind blowing work of art.
And those lists of best guitarists are garbage. Just because there's a list out there doesn't make it fact. In my opinion, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Yngwie Malmsteen shouldn't even be on a list "reasonably good" guitarists. Or any blues guitarist ever.
Crap, I should just stick to talking about the song. |

Tool – Stranglehold (Ted Nugent cover) Lyrics

I personally say Tool's version of No Quarter was way better than Zep's. Led Zeppelin are good, but not meant for that kind of thing, its Tool's territory.
This one's cool too, great original great Tool take on it. |
