I definately agree with Knife2agunfight. I relate a lot to this song especially. I'm sure it's about young love and innosense and all of that good stuff. But I also think its about how someone can complete you. "I wrote your name and burned it to see the color of the flame. It burned the whole spectrum as if you were everything. I'm just burned gold, a normal flame..." Makes me think how she's brought 'color' to his life. "when we were kids i was a fountain you could never drink enough..." this sorta of means that he helped her out in the same way she helped him.

I think this song is about a boy and a girl having this meaningful realationship and then one of the cheats on the other. "sleeping with the girl next door.." and before that the singer calls 'the girl next door' a whore in the demo... so yeah. I wouldn't call my boyfriend a whore if I were to loose my virginity with him.. But thats just me!
I dont know. thats how I think of it. Reminds me of my ex boyfriend - who cheated on me. |

I think this song is ultimately about not wanting to grow up. Having a great time[and we never miss a party...] and doing whatever you feel [that gay theory...] Then realizing its coming to an end. Thats where the death of his brother comes in. His life ended on what seems like such a happy note, just having fun with everyone.
It really is a touching song. |
