i love this song! i want to make love to jimi's music. i can totally relate to what he is saying. what i get from the lyrics is the frustration that comes with depression and failed relationships, music being the only satisfaction in his life he wants to go further with it.. | this song applies to human beings of this generationin general, who have no self esteem and let people fuck them around...and are AWARE of it but are too low on self esteem to do anything about it.... just allow it to happen. Probably due to a fucked up childhood...I swear this song helps me so much...i listen to it when im feeling pathetic and it just makes it that much better...being able to relate to another pathetic human being. the offspring are awesome and this is definitely one of the best, the way they convey the meaning with humour when its actually a pretty serious subject....and its awesome to scream out loud! And so many people can relate. Funny how we can just feed off the misery of this song rather than confront our tormentors... | |

| i dont think these lyrics are quite correct....but this song is so so wonderful. Cat Stevens amazes me! His voice is so comforting. I believe he referred to this song as his 'positive mantra.' It's a positive outlook on life, to make the best of everything and see the beauty in the world, and about having that faith to guide you along and support you, keeping you optimistic. Cat is GOD | |
