riqgees, there is always more then one meaning to a song. While wash away may mean to you as a new begining or whatever, inbetweenmolecules sees it being washed away as suicide. Think about it, with suicide the trounles go away. |

I gotta say i was really disappointed by this single. It is a departure from the usual RHCP sound. I mean John has gone and put everything he could in to this song, and in the case of RHCP less is more. For example in Scar tissue, the guitar part was rather minimalistic. For those that say this is bringing back the funk, i have disagree with you. There is too much of a rock influence for this to be considered all that funky. The only part of this song that really sounds like the old band is the solo, which i would say is one of John's better solos.
If Stadium Arcadium has songs that are all like this then i you have to take flea's comment on the album and say "I guess i dont like RHCP.Period. Sorry guys that like this song, i just had to get this off my chest.
As for the meaning of this song. Dani is the embodiment of every girl Anthony Kedis as ever met. This song is supposed to be like an epitaph for her. |
