Will I be the only one to admit that I didn't know exactly what a "phaser" was?
DEFINITION OF PHASER: N.
A phaser is a fictional weapon most commonly used by personnel of the Federation in Star Trek.
It emits a high-energy beam.
According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia it stands for PHASed Energy Rectification. In the original scripts for '''' the energy weapons used by the crew were called 'Lasers'.
However they were changed to Phaser shortly after the first pilot episode, The Cage, was filmed, on the grounds that a laser could not produce the explosive effects seen in the episode.
Set phasers to stun... interesting title, I never given it much thought. But how much thought and praise it deserves. |

This song is a really good one, the chorus is so CATCHY! Such good, underground stuff.
Anyway, the title Blucher is about a German ship. It's real, and it sunk less than three years after her launch. By Norwegian shore defences.
This song definitely is about that, "Port side is close to the shore... Incoming shot cross the bow," that's pretty much all that makes sense to me pre-looking so deep into it.
Really check this song out, it's great. |

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but I read in an interview that they called this song "no it isn't" so if anyone asked if it was about Tom, they could say "no it isn't" ... but I think the point was, that it actually is about Tom... yeah, i agree with nolies, this is such a catchy song. and i don't like a lot of their other songs, but if anyone could post the lyrics to "the longest drive" by them i would appreciate. the sarcasm of this song reminds me of sellyoubeautiful by the rxbandits, alot. which is also a really good song. |
