a little thing... this is starting to form the love-hate gc forum(am not saying that its bad.i just noticed.) k,am not siding anyone BUT if the others think that the song's BAAAAAAD,they don't like the band,definitely their song/music OR the other way around,liking the song,supporting the band etc,PLEASE, LET THEM EXPRESS THEMSELVES. that is why this is built,its meant for us to type whatever we wish to say and let them be heard. if you're just going to go up and bully em up(i know most of you'll do.)by posting stuff then this and that,it'll just end up in to senseless crap(and i know,that if you do hate this band,you'll be talking crap if you go up and waste your time trippin over the supporters.so,save it...you'll have lotsa productive stuff more to kill the time,"why waste it on those crappy poseursEtc,right?"...that is just my suggestion,am not rubbing it up your face/s,who am i to do that?am not a supporter...neither a hater.) as much as possible,i don't mean this the harsh way.i don't wanna offend people up,just let people post whatever they wish to say,contradicting them can cause fights and all that but well,it's all upto all of ya.Am just here to say what i feel after seeing each and everyone's post here. thanks for taking the time to read my post. |

this is definitely one of the band's greatest songs in their 'the reason' album.it is one of my faves. generally.it just explains this guy/girl perhaps,from a heartbreak("there's a pain that sleeps inside")and this girl/guy that makes him forget about all the anxieties of life and thus shows how this girl stands out/her uniqueness. well.it is one good old fashioned love song for me. |

whatever people say,there are haters there are supporters. i can't side to any of them,just as long as i type this shit up and all in what i think of the song which is good by the way,yet the lyrics needs some work(specially for those feminists..it would affect them.seriously.) all this people wanna do here is type whatever they think of the song and all then post it up.so if there are fights here about gc,bring it to your own will.i know supporters/haters have to defend and all(because i support them or i hate them)but i think this is not a good place to start that with.let people express what they want whether hate it or love it. that's the way life goes...yin or yang or if possible,balance. nuff said. |

song is one of the bests of this year.from the title itself,'brightside'.the guy is pretty much trying to be this 'mr.brightside'(or optimistic...) as this girl which he likes(but he kept denying it to himself because as he said,"it was only a kiss")that he saw her with another man and kept on telling to himself that he has seen the truth that he has to move on despite of what he saw("destiny=himself is calling me,open up my eager eyes") definitely gonna stay at everyones iPods for a long long time. |

it is cool that they used vampires as a metaphor for their songs.and definitely,it did alotta impact spreading a wide range of fans---gothic/emo true.the song is about society...sums it all up. they should put this song in their "the best of's" if ever they'll have one. definitely one GOOD song.(additional the vampires.yay.) |

the song was already interpreted by the band one time. Benjammin is right. it does involve bodies of water(as you see the lyrics)and the explains a person's(a gur or girl) state of distant longing for someone..like missing each other("i need you so much closer...") in a way that the distance was measured as bodies of water away.it's amazing how the guys invented the title for this song..still involving water."transATLANTICism". it's now defined in google.great job.haha. the song is b-e-autiful.coldplay may have a competition.(no offense.) |
