We Are Augustines – Book of James Lyrics 12 years ago
It is. There are a few other small differences, but these are the lyrics posted on their website, which oddly aren't the actual lyrics in the song.

Linkin Park – Hands Held High Lyrics 17 years ago
Linkin Park writes their own songs. Your "fact" is far from the truth in many cases. It even says in the liner notes Mike wrote them. Maybe buy the CD, support the band, you know?

Explosions in the Sky – The Moon Is Down Lyrics 17 years ago
"The Moon Is Down" is the name of a book, written as a very effective Allied propaganda tool during WWII. The book gets its name from a line in the beginning of the second act of Macbeth.

Haha! Yeah, that's where I first heard iGeneration, the iTunes-facebook sampler...how incredibly fitting, huh?

Cartel – A Lyrics 18 years ago
This is such a beautifully orchestrated song. The way he pulls the whole album together with this single song is amazing.

Lostprophets – Rooftops Lyrics 18 years ago
From what I can tell what you wrote seems all right. (Maybe a few things I would have written differently, like "Scream until your heart stops" vs "Scream it til l your heart stops).

Isn't this song is amazing? The way I see this, it's saying that we can't live life any better way than by following our hearts. Sometimes we get caught up in things, but the best way to leave a legacy (or a mark) is to always follow your heart.
Or at least something like that, I can't seem to pin down a specific idea I feel really covers the song.

Snow Patrol – Set the Fire to the Third Bar Lyrics 18 years ago
This song has a very eerie sound to it. The lyrics really help support that. Perhaps lovers, willing to do absolutely anything to be together again, only to loose each other in the end?

Snow Patrol – Make This Go On Forever Lyrics 18 years ago
I think the title pretty aptly explains the song. The last line is amazing, too. The whole song is great to sing along to. Without question one of my favorite songs off the new album.

Snow Patrol – Open Your Eyes Lyrics 18 years ago
A lot of what you said makes sense.

I think overall it's about two people who are clearly in love but not accepted. One isn't happy, I think that's a fair assumption to make, and the other cares so much that he/she is will to do anything to help the other, even running away and leaving everything behind, but first the person needs to open their eyes and realize things can be better, and that they deserve better.
Also, this is definitely my favorite song on the new album.

Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars Lyrics 18 years ago
When asked about his favorite song, Gary replied

"chasing cars. just did the vocals for that this morning. the vocals have been refined and i think it's the purist love song i've written. no tinges of darkness or misery, just totally up lifting. - garyL"

Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars Lyrics 18 years ago
Like any good songs I think the lyrics are open to multiple interpretations, but for me the song reminds me of those beautiful summer evenings getting to know someone, hoping they feel the same way about you, but feeling like you could live in those moments forever. Without question an amazing song, hopefully a single as well.

Something Corporate – Miss America Lyrics 18 years ago
I really like how Andrew described the song in the chat above, yeah it's about love, but it's also about being away from home and missing it but loving where you are so much. I can relate to that feeling exactly, and the fact that the song is so incredibly amazing has made it a favorite of mine for years.

Utada Hikaru – Passion Lyrics 18 years ago
Yeah, there are definitely a few english lines thrown in the Kingdom Hearts version. Near the end it sounds like she is saying "my fears, my lies."

Yellowcard – How I Go Lyrics 18 years ago
It is crazy that we all thought the same, but the opening lines immediately made me think of Big Fish (FYI: "The Big Fish" is a movie made in 2000, accoding to IMDB, "Big Fish," which we're all talking about, was made in 2003).
It's really a beautiful song.

They're definitely going places, that's for sure. I was so excited when they were signed, they really deserve it.

This is an instant favorite of mine. The music is beautiful, and the lyrics are something I think we can all relate to.

Yellowcard – Two Weeks From Twenty Lyrics 18 years ago
Spare us all your pro-bush rants. Yellowcard wrote a song, it's pretty clear what it's about, and nobody gives a damn who you voted for.

I think this song perfectly represents the change our country has gone through: from Believe off Ocean Avenue to Two Weeks from Twenty, it's exactly how a lot of the country is feeling.

Straylight Run – Hands in the Sky (Big Shot) Lyrics 18 years ago
The following is right from their Victory Records info page:

"The lyrical content is more mature and socially aware, touching on topics such as the current war in Iraq and America’s love affair with violence. The tracks Hands In The Sky (Big Shot) and Later That Year were the most obvious examples of this. “I was very glad to be able to find inspiration and emotion in situations that didn’t in any way revolve around me”, said John, “To be able to confidently take on subjects that were bigger than myself was very satisfying.”"

That should clear things up.

The Mile After – Money Is Not A Thing Lyrics 18 years ago
This is my favorite of TMAs new stuff. Granted I haven't heard much yet, it'll take an amazing song to change my mind (then again, that's something I fully believe TMA is capable of). But I have to agree, that is an excellent line, probably one of my favorites.

Death Cab for Cutie – Brothers on a Hotel Bed Lyrics 18 years ago
To me it's about two people in a relationship, but over time they've both grown older, changed.

"you may tire of me, as our december sun is setting"
Life grows short with the two of them (december sun, well, at least in the northern hemisphere).
Life just seems to become mundane, but "even at [their] swiftest speed. [they] couldn't break from the concrete"

So to me it's about people growing apart, and dealing with life as it comes to an end.

I really hope Walla writes some more songs in the future.
