Dido – Honestly OK Lyrics

I love this song, it helps when I'm feeling like this because I know that someone else is feeling it or has felt it as well.
When you just want everything to go away and there's so much pain and lonliness inside you can't describe it. Everyone else sees you and can't really tell what's wrong and you just blow them off - honestly ok - but inside you feel like a rug has been yanked from under your feet. |

I had forgotten how much I loved this video until VH1 aired it a few mornings ago... I listen to this song almost daily. OK Computer and Kid A have been on my playlist for years, and I have not once removed them. |

This is my favorite song. I listen to it over and over and over. Since I'm almost over my radiohead/Thom Yorke obsession, Sam Endicott is replacing him... There's so much pain in his voice, and I can completely relate... |

The Killers – Everything Will Be Alright Lyrics

mandibgood, I agree with you.
It's funny because the fact that the song comes after Midnight Show and then Jenny Was a Friend of Mine next, it would seem like it should go... I mean, it fits perfectly to me... And her leaving is directly related to what he was saying in Jenny ... . "She said she loved me, but she had somewhere to go." Like she had already left him or was going to leave him or something... And now he's missing her... dreaming about her dreamy eyes... So he's going to look for her where he dumped the body, it doesn't matter if it takes him all night. He never knew how much he loved her until she was gone, and everything will be alright because he's going to find her... and maybe kill himself because he's so upset about her being gone.
Just my thoughts. |

This song is so beautiful... His voice is just amazing to me.
I don't care what he's actually singing about, I just want to think from the sound of it that he's in love and he hopes for a second chance. |

I love this song... It sounds (from the way she sings it) like a song to an ex, like I'm done trying, even though I kinda want you back, I don't know if it's worth the pain. |

OMG!

I LOVE THIS SONG!
OMG... I knew there was a reason that I love songmeanings....
I think it's just about people not seeing the true beauty of things... I think, well... I never knew what they were saying until now. Just taking something for face value and not looking deeper for the beauty within. |

50 Cent – I Smell Pussy Lyrics

...I don't think any one should down any one else's taste in music. I like any thing that sounds good to me... If you choose not to listen to it, let it be. Music is a way of expressing one's self, this is the way he chooses to do so. Let him be.
With that said, keep in mind :
I happen to hate 50 Cent with all of my being. |

Wow, I just said this... VodkaLix... some of soad's song are very reminiscent of radiohead... I've been listening to them both back to back, and if it weren't for the very different styles of MUSIC, lyrically I wouldn't be able to tell them apart sometimes. |

Radiohead – Optimistic Lyrics

This is so sarcastic it's ridiculous... But it's jazzy and you just feel good singing it... And I told my little brother, "Try the best you can; if you try the best you can, the best you can is good enough!" He smiled. That's a good message to send, even if you are being blatantly cynical about it. My brother's six, he doesn't know what this song is about. |

System of a Down – Sad Statue Lyrics
|
When I hear this song, I think about years from now, my brother's in high school, learning about what happened in 2000-2004 and beyond... He learns about the seperation of the people, the tension between the three sides; right, wrong, and don't care. Pictures like a yearbook of all the people who fought for the cause. Be it for the war, or for no war. I imagine how he will look back on these early years of the 21st century... He's only 6... What will have changed in the decade and some that it will take for him to become an adult? Will he become a soldier? Will he rally for peace? And his kids, and mine, and our grandchildren... and their children... What will they think of us when they read about it? Wil they call us heros or cowards? Will they call us greedy?
We'll never truly be free. |

K's Choice – Virgin State Of Mind Lyrics

This song is definately about breaking out of a shell... also about not having any one to share the experience with... That moment when you're growing up, realizing that your world shouldn't be based on everyone elses opinion. Being able to be yourself and be comfortable with who you are. Virgin state of mind... that childhood innocence before you see the world isn't as perfect as you were made to believe.
Speak is an awesome book by the way... |

Morrissey – Suedehead Lyrics

I heard Morrissey for the very first time on this song... Like two weeks ago. I didn't know he was old... LOL But man, he is awesome.
"It was a good lay, good lay..." Man, how do you say that to someone while basically saying, 'you're a crazy -----, I'm not on you like that'? Oh, just pop in Suedehead. |
