Bright Eyes – Lime Tree Lyrics

no way conor oberst's main addiction is meth. hes got too much money to smoke meth. its definitely cocaine that that guy has problems with... but i think he might have stopped doing it after his trip across the country and what not. he probably just smokes pot now, at the concert of bright eyes i just went to conor talked about how bright eyes used to be a political type band but he traded it in so they could be a hippy band and he was talking about peace and shit... so hes probably calmed down from hard drugs... |

Incubus – Rogues Lyrics

i think this song is about drugs, specifically cocaine
"If you’re not affected, you’re not paying attention!
It’s too good, too good, not to have an effect."
He is with a guy and they both snort a line but his friend is like "hey man this is shit, i dont feel nothing" and hes like "dude whatever your just not paying attention, this stuffs too pure not to have an effect" |

Grateful Dead – Sugar Magnolia Lyrics

obviously about acid.
"We can have high times if you'll abide
We can discover the wonders of nature
Rolling in the rushes down by the riverside"
Probably about trippin balls with a girl he likes. Acids a mind expanding experience. Sights are smelled and sounds are seen. So who really knows what the songs about for certain. We do know these guys were constantly on acid. Good people. |

Audioslave – Somedays Lyrics

i think chris cornell just about butchers the song with repeating oh "Somdaaaayyys" but it got some bad ass guitar work, like the verse riff. these guys are fucking tight and they really are writing good songs now but chris cornells voice still gets on my nerves a lot... i miss zach de la rocha, but i like the rock sound more than the rap sound.. so fuck, i guess im torn... |

I kind of think he is saying he digs all the stuff he sings about in the verse, but all he really wants/digs is the girl is the girl he's talking about |

He Is Legend – Either They Decorated For Christmas Early Or They're All Dead Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
it is kind of out of place, but it is just funny, because of the irony that he says "sing the hook" but he is screaming it.
i think what is unique about he is legend is that they are emo/hardcore/straight up metal/everything rock related. they can do so much and they do it amazingly. and i like how the lead singer, unlike many of emo's/hardcore's finest vocalists, doesn't write personal lyrics. they are all told from someone else's shoesEdited by random_monkey on February 1 2006, at 08:40PM |
