Westfall seems to be a song linked tritely to drugs. Even though it's a broad connection, raping My Bad Days as the example, but on Don't Fall in Love with Everyone, he seems to understand the state of uncontrollability that his "Bottle filled up with Vicodin" leads him into. I think that in his reference to his "younger, handsomer, and stronger" days, aka the days he spent innocent of drugs, he didn't understand the fragility of life. |

This song really does have political meaning. When he refers to "interrupting television fun," he talks about how the war (namely on Iraq) has flooded the media. He also talks about the feeble power of patriotism with the "colors in your hair," though i do not share the same beliefs. Also, the "lazy gun" refers to the easy way out of diplomacy, or as they put it, going to war. |
