Jimmy Eat World – Disintegration Lyrics | 15 years ago |
For me, this song reminds me of my former drug addiction. "Hanging on a cigarette, you need me, you'll burn me." Reminds me of how I needed the drugs, but they ended up hurting me in the end, "burning me". |
Evan Taubenfeld – Boy Meets Girl Lyrics | 15 years ago |
amazing fucking song. The line about Fleetwood Mac, Biggie, and Tupac is the best. |
Breaking Benjamin – Rain Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"We are never sad cause we are not allowed to be." Best fucking line ever. |
Meiko – Boys With Girlfriends Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I agree with everyone who said you really don't know till you've been in the situation. You really don't. It's a shitty place to be in. But then again, I've also been in the girlfriend position, and yeah, it is easy to make the other girl out as the bad guy... even though both your boyfriend and the other girl are to blame... you're more likely to defend him. |
Sage Francis – Inherited Scars Lyrics | 15 years ago |
this song reminds me of my older brother. i listen to it when i miss him a lot. |
3OH!3 – Don't Trust Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Yeah, uhm, for everyone making the straight-edge reference, you're wrong. If you're underage at shows, they put X's on your hands, she's going into the bathroom to wash it off so they'll actually serve her drinks. Hence the lines following saying, "and the best is, no one knows who you are. just another girl alone at the bar." mmyeah. |
John Mayer – Say Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song gives me courage to speak up. I listen to it on repeat one until I know I can't be shy and I have to just say what I need to say. =) |
Strays Don't Sleep – For Blue Skies Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This song is my mother-fucking autobiography. |

Five Times August – Take Me Away Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Ahh, such amazing music. =) |
Cartel – Honestly Lyrics | 18 years ago |
AHMAHZINGGGGG. I only recently "discovered" them, but they rock. I bought the CD yesterday. My favorite song is this one, most definitely, just because I can apply it to my life SO WELL this moment. "So I guess I'll see you, see you around." too bad that I'll start to LOATHE Cartel when they get "Fall Out Boy-big"... haha. JUSTKIDDING. |
James Blunt – Out Of My Mind Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I have to agree with lidz. This is the best song on the cd. Period. |
The Honorary Title – Snow Day Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song reminds me of how mean teenage girls are to each other. I can identify with it, because everyone needs a break from constantly being judged and being tormented and teased and made fun of and being brought into stupid catty plans and the list goes on and on. This is the age when things are seemingly life or death, because, yes, we do overreact as teenagers, but we don't recognize that fully yet. |
The Format – The First Single Lyrics | 18 years ago |
The First Song I ever heard by the Format. &forever in my heart thanks to a wonderful boy by the name of Edward. The true meaning of it does not matter. |
The Format – Let's Make This Moment a Crime Lyrics | 18 years ago |
One of the greatest friends I've ever had introduced me to this band in December 2003. He has since then commit suicide and this band was on his last mixed cd to me. I've been obsessed with them since I first heard "The First Single." This song is by far my favorite on the CD, and was his favorite also. I don't care what it means. It keeps me happy and I can only see him sitting in his bedroom singing this song to me like he used to. |
Ronnie Day – outside Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love the emotion he puts in every line. This song just helps me vent my frustration. I walk to the ocean and scream the lyrics as if there will never be a tomorrow and as if my life is falling apart all over again. |
Copeland – No One Really Wins Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I don't want to win this time. Ohohoh. So flawless. |
Ben Kweller – In Other Words Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I just love the piano and how the lyrics all come together. Overall, I don't care about the "controversy" or the overanalysis. It's a fucking good song. Take it for what it is and don't read between the lines to much. Sometimes, that is all that is needed. |
Jack's Mannequin – The Mixed Tape Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song is simply what it's about. Making a Mix Tape. It seems that he's torn by the distance between him and someone, so he just makes a mix tape (one of the best mix tapes ever from the sounds of it) to remind him of her. &then gives it to her, in order to remind her of him. She's always on his mind, and he's hoping this will reassure her. As for the breaking into houses part, I've always found that to be rather romantic sounding... as creepy as it sounds to other people. I've personally always wished someone would break into my house and leave me a love letter. It sounds as if he was surprised that she had said something like "there's a piece of you in every single day" and he wants to know if she really meant it... However, that's just my two cents... |
Papa Roach – Take Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I cannot believe that this song doesn't have more comments. This is BY FAR the best song on the album, I like it a lot better than Scars (which I absolutely despise). I can identify with this song so much. To mean, it's about trying to gain someone's trust, or someone's acceptance and getting to the point where you're starting not to care anymore. |
Joseph Arthur – In The Sun Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I cannot believe that I have just discovered Joseph Arthur. It was by a complete accident, but probably one of the greatest ever. I cried when I heard this song. Maybe it's that I cry too often, but it made me think of my two best friends who both commit suicide. I know it's not about that, but I don't care. It tells of guilt and there are a few lines that just pull my heart strings. My favorite lines: "I know I would apologize if I could see your eyes, 'cause when you showed me myself, I became someone else. But I was caught in between all you wish for and all you need. I picture you fast asleep; a nightmare comes, you can't keep awake." |
The Track Record – Talk Radio Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song is recently my repeat one track. It's my favorite song, pretty much as of right now. I love the way he sings the line, "that we swear this never happened." |
Bayside – Tortures Of The Damned Lyrics | 18 years ago |
One of the best songs on the new CD. The other best one is "Blame It On Bad Luck." |
Bayside – Guardrail Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is so perfect for one of my many moods. The best line is, "you and your bullshit are pushing me towards an explosion." It's like it put the words right in my mouth. If only more people could love this song. |
Bloodhound Gang – Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo Lyrics | 19 years ago |
incomplete&allalone has the lyrics right. This song is so good. I've had it on repeat one on my webpage. Won-der-ful. |
Duncan Sheik – On A High Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I don't know what it means to me, I cannot explain it. It's just effing awesome. |
Across Five Aprils – A Million Miles To Montreal Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This distance is the knife in my heart Let him know the treasure he has This reminds me of what my ex-boyfriend said to me when I dumped him. Ah, but it's still really awesome. |
Taking Back Sunday – Your Own Disaster (Japan Release version) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song is so much better than the first one. I could go on and on and on, I can identify with every lyric. It brings back memories everytime I listen to it like a flahs flood. I try not to cry, but the emotion in their voices, it gets to me. Especially the lines, "It's all I know, you're all I know. [justforgetme,it'sthatsimple.]" It breaks my heart everytime. |
The Starting Line – Ready Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Incredible song, by far the best on the new cd. |
Phantom Planet – One Ray Of Sunlight Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is the first song I heard by Phantom Planet and immediately fell in love. It is my all-time favorite song. The way Alex sings the chorus, it just pulls at my heart strings. Every day is a rough day in my life, and so I put this as the last track on the soundtrack to my life. It just calms me down and reminds me that no matter what you do, things take time and people still care about you. |
Amanda Ghost – Idol Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I can't believe no one has commented on this song. It's, in my opinion, the best song by Amanda Ghost. |
Saosin – I Can Tell Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I believe the correct line is "If only I had the strength then maybe you could believe in something something else." |
