Simon and Garfunkel – The Times They Are A-Changin' (Bob Dylan cover) Lyrics 19 years ago
When Dylan did this song. It was about the youth making their own decisions about the country . I was one of them at the time. I really wish it wouldn't have happened. It was truly the downfall. I came from a good family with values and parents that were teaching us right. It doesn't happen to much any more

Elton John – Original Sin Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it.s about a man that onced love a women who moved on into some kind of fame, weather an exotic dancer of some kind of actress. he probably didn't want her to move on and he still lusts for her along with everyone else. When he sees her the process starts all over again. Is there any way to ask the writer what was on his mind when he wrote this?

Elton John – Nikita Lyrics 19 years ago
This is one of my favorite Elton songs. He loves this girl in Russia and there is no way to be with her. Of course this was back during the cold war. I wonder what happened after the cold war was over. Beautiful song.

It's about a man that has a one-sided relationship. She just wants to take but yet give nothing.

Grand Funk Railroad – Comfort Me Lyrics 19 years ago
There is no doubt what this song is about. This is about a broken person turning to Christ. I myself was a alcoholic drug addict who wished he were dead. I had no God in my life. He saw it fit to save my life and love me when I could not love myself. All through His mercy and grace

Billy Joel – Allentown Lyrics 19 years ago
There is no doubt this song is about the blue collar towns in Pa. I am from Pittsburgh and it is the same story.America shipped the steel industry out of the country. So the jobs that were passed down through the families are gone. The middle class is history!

Simon and Garfunkel – I Am A Rock Lyrics 19 years ago
This song I agree is about a relationship that really hurt someone and they take to isolation. However there are a lot of reasons to isolate like that. Say those who are mistreated at a young age and lose all trust for the human race. I know a woman that was molested at the age of 6. She kept it inside and told no one. At that point she isolated and later turned to drugs and alcohol. She never let anyone inside her head until the age of 40 and now they still don't get to far in. I remember being taught about this song in school way back. It's a great song!
