o'death – Bugs Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I really don't understand how NO ONE commented on this, brilliant. Very talented musicians. |
The Avett Brothers – Pretend Love Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Honestly no comments?!?! Off maybe their best album, I honestly love this song. very blunt and no two ways about it, even if you are oblivious you get the point with this song. Puts a smile on my face in all honesty. Defiantly one of my favorites! |
Devendra Banhart – Electric Heart Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It seems every time I listen to this song I turn it up louder and louder, aside from the fact that it’s brilliant this song just blows my mind. I will never hear any music like his, like I said it’s what I hear. >< too bad I cant elaborate when talking about Devendra. |
Devendra Banhart – Inaniel Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is very wonderful, Devendra is brilliant. Though I wish I knew more as to what the lyrics are, I was surprised to see no comments as well. I’m glad to have been introduced to his music, it’s really something I can not describe. ^^;; |
The Decemberists – From My Own True Love (Lost at Sea) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Actually the first Decembrists song I heard, not favored as much now compared then. Wonderful song none the less, I truly love Colin Meloy’s voice. Ah that takes me back, but about the song.. It can be a bit sad at times and other times not at all. I suppose it’s all about perspective. |
Murder by Death – The Big Sleep Lyrics | 18 years ago |
no comments? I am no good with comments though wonderful song. one of their best, in which case is many. |
Tori Amos – Past The Mission Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Lovely performance by Tori and Trent Reznor, first song I heard by her and one of the many greater songs. ^^;; |

Murder by Death – Organ Grinder Lyrics | 18 years ago |

The Avett Brothers – Swept Away Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Can’t believe no comments, beautiful song. It’s hard not to sing along to it, the lyrics are breathtaking. |
Castanets – Dancing With Someone (Privilege of Everything) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
well said loveinvincible. "I do not want to explain and I'm not going to" To me the first two lines are the most powerful part of the song, i mean the whole song in it's self is powerful and wonderful, yet these lines hit me the hardest. It could be looked at in any perspective but to me I think it’s along the lines of choice. The song almost revolves around the choices of what he does and doesn’t have.. or need and wants to have? Not to say that is completely right but it’s something I recognize. lovely. |
Castanets – No Voice Was Raised Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i hope that is right |
Belle & Sebastian – I Don't Love Anyone Lyrics | 18 years ago |
theme song of the day, i'd have to say. Wonderful song and best part.. "Out in the street today The kids are playing, having fun I pass them by I'm not a kid, no I don't love anyone" |
Great Lake Swimmers – Merge, A Vessel, A Harbour Lyrics | 18 years ago |
The first song I heard by them, wonderful at that. This song reminds me of a dear friend of mine, He actually sent me the song. though i will leave my personal affairs out of this. Beautiful song. "Wearing false armour And useless shields Failed to exist" |
Castanets – Good Friend, Yr Hunger Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I’m surprised no one commented on this song, I love all of their songs but none the less this one is brilliant. I favor this verse.. “And I will not be a hungry ghost I will not be a hungry ghost and good friend, your hunger, i will not host, oh no” |
Joy Division – Isolation Lyrics | 18 years ago |
By far this is one of the greatest songs i have ever heard. Do i need to even mention the fact that i listen to a great deal of music as well? Joy Division is one of those bands that are able to take your breath away and make your mind go else where, even if it’s for a single moment in time. |
Voltaire – Almost Human Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Maybe the last verse is kind of like saying I don’t want to get close to humans, I am like a human. |
Voltaire – Let It Go Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Oh wow very surprised no one commented on this song. One of the best Voltaire songs, and it makes a great deal of sense as well. People tend to focus on one tedious thing when it can so easily be forgotten and the mood changes. I think in the end of this song you get the message of common sense. |
R.E.M. – Feeling Gravity's Pull Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Maybe this is about dreaming "Let me show you what I can do with it Time and distance are out of place here" Lucid dreaming, or something to that extent. Wonderful song none the less, last three lines are my favorite. |

Castanets – No Light to Be Found (Fare Thee Faith, The Path Is Yours) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
why must it be about drugs? I can agree it's beautiful, though I don’t think it’s necessarily about drugs though. I think he is either talking about another man that some how got in-between his relationship with a girl, Or the other man he is talking about him self, The actions he will or doesn’t know to take ..with a girl involved. Though I suppose it could be anything for anyone, but I don’t think of drugs when I hear this song. More self sabotage. |
Voltaire – Out Of Reach Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"you'll break my will you'll sell my soul you'll take my heart and replace it with a gaping hole and step on me" would have to be my favorite verse in this particular song, a wonderful one at that. |
Castanets – You Are the Blood Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Brilliant song, surprised no one has commented on this song or others.. Sung beautifully! |
Tori Amos – New Age (Velvet Underground cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Beautiful fucking song! |
Tori Amos – New Age (Velvet Underground cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Beautiful fucking song! |
R.E.M. – Try Not To Breathe Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I don’t think this song is necessarily about an elder person, I think it could be anyone really. I can relate to this song because the whole song he is wanting something to breathe and to remember him. (he has lived his life young or not and he wants it to continue that in someone else) Sure it could be about suicide, but I think it’s more than that. We are all waiting to die in the end. “I will try not to worry you. I have seen things that you will never see. Leave it to memory me. I shudder to breathe.” I think that would have to be my favorite part of the song, the whole thing is brilliant. |
A Perfect Circle – The Nurse Who Loved Me (Failure cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Wonderful. This song is outstanding. I think it was very well done, and beautifully sung. In my perspective this song is very metaphorical, “She's got everything I need pharmacy keys” obviously a nurse works a pharmacy, something she is used to comfortable with. And then she is falling for him. I suppose everyone is right on their perspective of the song whether you liked it or not. But I think it was more simple, not necessarily about or focused on drugs. |
Yann Tiersen – Monochrome Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Wonderful song, and beautiful lyrics. I love his music... |
Belle & Sebastian – Simple Things Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I can’t believe no one has commented on this song yet. It could be as obvious as to what it means by reading the text, yet I gain so much more out of this song, despite it’s length in time it’s meaning is just that more brilliant. This song can go with any mood in my opinion. "If you want me all you have to do Is ask a thousand questions Triplicate and file under "Simple things you ask to make a young boy sigh" I love that.. I hope people gain perspective from songs like these. |
Nine Inch Nails – Somewhat Damaged Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I love this song as ALL other Nine Inch Nails songs with a passion, I chose to post on this one for no one saw what I thought the lyrics meant; “so impressed with all you do tried so hard to be like you flew too high and burnt the wing lost my faith in everything” Sounds a bit like that story In the bible to me. Well the story over all. Correct me if I’m wrong but an arch angle wanted to be like god, tried to be like him. God got pissed and threw him out, ‘burnt his wing’ and fell. The no longer angle lost his faith…in everything. The rest of the lyrics follow through I do suppose… at least how I see it. Even this part… (referenced to drugs and such) “broken bruised forgotten sore too fucked up to care anymore poisoned to my rotten core too fucked up to care anymore” Kicked out left alone to fucked over to care anymore.. (fucked up might have been another way to say it as well) rotten being sent to hell, poisoned everything above. Yeah.. But those are my opinions.. ^_^; I suppose it could work.. I love Nine Inch Nails never the less... |
