ok so rebas putting all this crazy shit into a bathtub to see what would happen. she keeps just adding ridiculous shit. finally she tries it out and starts tripping hard - (the mid section) then she gets real euphoric and peaceful (the jam) and afterward she realizes she discovered/invented this fantastic drug and so she starts "bagging it, tagging it and selling it" |

i interpreted the lyrics as this>
she's in the bathtub putting all these whacky ingredients in... doesnt really know what she's soing. but then at the end she "tastes" her creation and then, after the chorus, she begins to trip out. thats when the whacky jam kicks in. eventually the trip calms a little and becomes a more euphoric typ of thing and the jam shifts to that like drum & bass n infinite sustain type of thing. real chill. and bag it tag it sel it... well i think she knows she has a psychedelic thin going for her so she's gonna sel that shit. the whole thing may just be a metaphor for making sellin and takin drugs im not sure |

tthe jam at the end of this is a Split Open nd Melt jam taken from a show... its more important than that though. for a while all their jams started going dry, and they all felt like they couldn't reach that certain point in their jams we all nkow and love... finally one night they went about jamming in a different way and this SOAM was the result... it symolized a rejuvenaion of their passion and unity as a band. they put the jam on the album for personal reasons, more than anything. idk if the hebrew part was added in after or if it was just part of the jam, cuz they cover that song in full a lot anyway |

phlyme2themoon is dead on. as for verses 3 and 4, i think the guy got caught.
the solar garlic is the weed.
and he gets shot at the end of verse 3 so perhaps he thinks he's dying or going to jail and is regretting that he spent his life this way. "was it for this my life i sought?"
"control for smilers can't be bought" im really not sure about. smilers are perhaps pot heads. it might be saying, that they can't pay off the cops to leave them alone. |

Phish – Golgi Apparatus Lyrics
|
yea the terrorism thing is 100% bogus. that is some of the poorest llogic i have ever seen used in a persuasive paragraph. ever. i mean really.. "he talks about goli and lysosome which are obviously helpful in a biological attack" . here's why that logic sucks.
1) what?
2) a golgi apparatus is part of te human body. it processes lipids n things. and lysosomes break down viruses and bacteria.
3) shut up.
""I look into my finance box just to check my status." This depicts the precautions taken by every terrorist cell - finding adequate funding. "
- you know who else checks for adequte funding?
EVERYONE.
lastly -
"Lastly, the band illustrates the outcome of the attack when it talks of spreading "woe." This "woe" refers to the effects of previous terrorist events"
woe means sadness, and he says "woe is me, you can't even see the sea"
its like saying "i'm sad because you'll never know the beauties of life that i know" not, as you assumed, "i wish to spread sadness among americans to further the aims of my terrorist organization, muahahaha"
you can't take individual words out of songs and say you know anything about what ur talking about. and by the way that link you left doesnt even work. it says 404 not found.
this song was written by trey and tom marshall in theyre biology class. its about - wait - lets build suspense....
.... BIOLOGY. AHHHH.
...wait a tick. biology... its like biological warfare... they must be showing their support of 13th century mongols who used the dead bodies of the ill to overtake castles by spreading disease!
phish is an avid supporter of mongols! theyre trying to take over much of russia and china! those bastards!
and they use the word "junkyard dog"
this is no doubt trey talking about his gay affair with Sylvester "Junkyard Dog" Ritter, an 80s professional wrestler! IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW! |

Phish – Piper Lyrics
|
building off of what subskin said... i bet tom wrote "piper piper the red red worm" down because he kept hearing it in his dream, and thats wat the other two lines meant... like he literally woke up to the sound of a storm and wrote those words because he didnt want to forget them.. they cudve been important in his dream. or perhaps the sound of the storm made him think he was sailing ina boat until it woke him up. maybe piper the red worm was the name of the boat. ad he sailed on it. until he woek up to the sound of the storm.
right there is an example of reading-too-much-into-it. |

Phish – The Divided Sky Lyrics
|
the MUSIC: trey got the idea for teh songwriting from a lullabye that his mother wrote and sang for him as a child.
the STORY: the boys were at The Rhombus (look it up on phish.net if u dont know wat it is). this was back before someone bolted the rhombus shut and one side could open on the top. they had a fire going inside the rhombus and they were tripping on shrooms. they were lying on top of the rhombus and as the smoke went up into the sky someone (whom they have never classified) said those words. they worked it into gamehendge because in some references, the Rhombus is the portal to gamehendge and thats where they were. |

i think the last lines "I plug the distress tube up tight
And watch what I say as it flutters away
And all this emotion is kept harmless at bay
Not to educate somebody's fright"
refers to writing lyrics at night wen the work is done... cuz it says the distress tube (pen) and its sayin his emotions are kept at bay meaning like its his only way of expressing himself without exploding in school during the day... |

Primus – The Ballad Of Bodacious Lyrics
|
Bodacious the Bull (1988? - May 16, 2000), originally designated J31, was a crossbred Charbray bull who was infamous throughout the sport of rodeo, and was commonly referred to as "The World's Most Dangerous Bull". The 1800-lb bull, known for his characteristic coloring as the "White Whale", made unanticipated moves that rodeo athletes were not accustomed to and were defenseless to protect against. Only six cowboys were able to complete their rides in 135 attempts. He was voted the PBR Bull of the Year in 1995.
It was suggested that Bodacious had gotten stronger and trickier as he matured after, in 1994, he gained national attention at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, employing his signature head snapping move that resulted in life threatening injuries to bull riding star Terry Don West. Tuff Hedeman was one of the few to stay on Bodacious for a full eight seconds. But, in 1995 Hedeman witnessed the brutal nature of "Bo" first hand when he suffered a major face smashing, and required emergency reconstructive surgery after a vicious encounter with Bodacious at the Professional Bull Riders Finals. Hedeman drew the bull again at the National Finals Rodeo in 1995, and opted not to ride him, calling Bodacious "the baddest bull there has ever been." In the same event, Scott Breding sustained serious injuries and became the last cowboy to attempt a ride on Bodacious.
Bodacious was retired on December 11, 1995, at the age of 7, still in his prime |

Oysterhead – Oz Is Ever Floating Lyrics

i think Oz is actually just a reference to the movie. i mean Oz in the movie was like the surpreme dream, everything she was longing for, it was the "place over the rainbow" so imi pretty sure oz is like a metaphor for like his goals and like a way to complete his life. which apparently this guy was constantly seeking. its wierd, wierd song. htinking about hte word oysterhead and the picture onnthe front of the album, obviously itsabout someone or thing with a brilliant mind, unexpectadly probably. an oyster is uly but itcontains a pearl, a pricless thing. the guy on the front is like a robotic face and the doors on his head are open and inside u see a pearl. i think this song is kind of about themselves in a way, but maybe not... very confusing. i guess u can expec confusion when u put claypool and anastasio togeher, the two least coherent lyricists of the modern age (in a good way). its saying that like music used to have meaning and doesn't anymore, also. |

yea i think people are reading a little to much into this... les is just ranting about the dmv... he oes off a little generalizing that theres tons of hings in life we hate but we gota do em anyway... but yea the song really is about the dmv in my opinion its not a metaphor. but yea as per that drug thing.... les smokes pot and shit as mentioned in this song... and he also does acid and admits it openly... but lacquer head as well as harold of the rocks and damned bluue collared tweakeres and many other songs les is criticizing the use of addictive hard drugs because of personal experiences in which they ruined people's lives. just because les smokes pot doesn't mean he can't writ songs against the use of hard drugs.... those are two totally different ball parks. |

Primus – Jerry Was a Race Car Driver Lyrics

wow eople need to chill with this best bassist argument. im a huge primus fan but to say claypool is better than jaco pastorius is a bit much. stanley clarke, and a few other who slip my mnd are also in many ways better than claypool. but claypool is cool because he's so unique, and he sings while he's doing all of this. but jaco changed the bass guitar and thats that. i mean he invented the fretless bass because his upright was getting ruined in the florida heat, so he pryed the frets off his electric. he was the first to take a bass and make solo-style, fast paced energy and keep is going over the main parts of the song as opposed to in just a designated bass solo. he took what would be a saxophone part and made it a bass guitar part. he played with the speed of a guitarist, but he used his fingers. he also was a pioneer in jazz-rock fusion. its hard tobeat that shit. i'd put claypool in the top 10 no doubt. maybe aound number 7 or 8. but to ut him above a legend like jaco is frustrating.
as for guitarists, whoever said cobain was the best guitarist ever, seriously has some homework to do. just because he's dead doesn't make you any more noble by trying to honor him. plus that's completely irrelevant. if cobain was alive today nobody would say he's the best guitarist ever. |

i think its kind of a dismal way of saying no matter what, life suckks. they're comparing two completely different, almost opposite lifestyles; jerry is living for today, living the fast li,,fe, makin millions racing cars... drinking and driving and not giving shit... while captain pierce is a brave, strong, wise guy who risks his life in the fire department... but its important to see how in both cases they're life was taken from them.... jerry's karma caught up to him and captain pierce was forced to retire.. i guess its saying it doesnt matter what you do with youre life, theres no good way out.
thats my interpretation.

its funny cu i learned about this in school today -> the en talks about how our ancestors, the founding fathers, columbus, are glorified by our education and holidys, etc, when in reality columbus was responsible for the arbitrary slaughtering and rap of over 250,000 native americans, and indirectly responsibly for the inhabitance of the americas by europeans. yet we have a holiday for him, and if you read any 5th rgade textbook no mention of their interaction is stated... all it says is that he came and american was forme and they ate thanksgiving dinner. |

theres one famous porn star named missy in particular. shes in the encyclopedia as the only porn star name missy. she lived in san fernando valley. it proly isnt a coincidence that greg graffin lived there too. the are only three years apart in age. i was so amused when i discovered the connection between the two -> the odds are they knew each other from school, where graffin was an outcast who discovered an underground punk radio station, inspiring him to form bad religion, and where "missy' was on of the popular girls at school. well there you have it. i own |

i believe the (?) you're referring to is "no plan"
also i dont think he's saying it isn't beautiful to be alive, he's mocking everyone for not appreciating what we have.
also, the song as a whole i think he really typical in content for bad religion, not in a bad way though. he's bsaically saying how easy it is to br driven crazy by our surroundings
"we trace the mortal edge with no defense" that line is great lyric. its open for interpretation too. i mean i guess the "mortal edge" would be death obviously. and with no defense meaning theres nothing we can do to escape death. i don't no waht he means by "tracing" death with no defense though. anyone? |

Bad Religion – Evangeline Lyrics

i think he's saying he's falling in love with a very religious girl. BUT the problem is that he is an atheist and it isn't making sense to him. "she came from heaven but there's no point belaboring that" meaning like well she's an angel... but theres really no point in trying to support that i know it can't be true. and "lend me your faith cause mine is broke" of course he's an atheist which is i think what he meant by his faith being broken. obviously.
"i coudl use an angel but i don't intend to split up the take" - then he's saying lets get something straight; i need you, but i'm not ready to accept your beliefs for it. he's sayying he knows he's right, the science proves it, "my acts intact, and in fact your not all that".
i woudl also just like to add that hell bent is lame. ur not punk just because ur standing up for greg graffin all defensive like the guy was attacking his lyrics. obviously he was talking about the way the person typed out the lyrics, not the content of the lyrics. i guess ur one of these new liberal punks who want to be all noble by attacking everyone who isn't exactly like you, but if you wanna know what punk is about, maybe you should read a few other things from our dear Greg Graffin known as "the Punk Manifesto" and "The 10 Grade Anarchist (Punk Synopsis)" maybe then you can appreciate what Greg has done.
meanwhile that kid was in fact defending bad religion CUZ he thought the author who posted them in fact misinterpreted the speling
peace out.
