Jet – Look What You've Done Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Guys. I live near Philadelphia, and they were interviewed about this song. I caught a snippet of the conversation, and they mentioned a dad raping a son, or something. So quit it with the 'ahh beatles' And just research the meaning |
The Offspring – Why Don't You Get a Job? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Has anyone realized this sounds like the beatles song 'ob la di, ob la da'? |
The Offspring – Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song is about one thing... POSERS!! teehee! \m/ offspring \m/ |
Mad Season – Wake Up Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's very unfortunate that he never got over his heroin addiction, since he died 3 years ago. And that Mad Season was very short-lived. After this album, he and Alice in Chains did 'Unplugged in New York' in '96. I'm guessing that was one of his last public experiences. Ironically, he died the same day Kurt cobain, one of my other rock idols, died partly of a heroin overdose, (besides the gun shot wound. without the wound, kurt would have died anyway) God bless Mad Season |
Harvey Danger – Wrecking Ball Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's about getting over your past and moving on. There are some hints of child abuse or maybe even neglect, and the child grew up to be lonely, living on the streets. Take a needle might refer to heroin... |
Fastball – The Way Lyrics | 19 years ago |
-mutter- Idiots. This was onTV. Its about an elderly couple whom, in the summer of 1997, left to go to a family gathering. They were known tohave some dimensia, and get lost, but they left one morning. They never made it there. There was a big investigation, and they thought they had just blown it off and driven away, but everything int heir house was packed like they were going to return. They eventually found the car, and it had gone off a cliff. Soon after, they found the couple, in around 1998. THAT'S the true story. It was on VH1. |
Nirvana – Blandest Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It could be about his relationship with Tracy Marander |
The Presidents of the United States of America – Lump Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think it's about a whore. |
Harvey Danger – Flagpole Sitta Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Yeah, this song is kinda prolly about being bored and blaming your boredom on somebody else, and thinking your going insane. -getting this cd shortly- Anyway, those who like this cd will prolly like Marcy Playground's debut, too |

it's 'where did all the little care go?', FYI |
A Perfect Circle – Weak And Powerless Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Maybe it's about the holocaust... |

Soundgarden – 4th of July Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I agree, ThayilBeGod |
Stone Temple Pilots – Sour Girl Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Maybe the guy abused her...and he's kind of confused, because he doesn't think that what he did was abuse, but the girl he dated killed herself. Maybe the 'he' that met her, was his other side (he was schizophrenic?) or God? |
Foo Fighters – Everlong Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think it's about Dave missing Kurt...Because Kurt started shooting up with Courtney, and spent less and less time with Nirvana. And also, here's proof: 'And I wonder, when i sing along with you' He was the backup singer 'If anything could ever feel this real forever' I think he said something about how the years with Nirvana were a BLAST 'You gotta promise not to stop when I say when...' Possibly about his heroin addiction |
Foo Fighters – Doll Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think it's about Kurt Cobain.. |
Evanescence – Heart-Shaped Box (Nirvana cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I didn't like this song. I'm the BIGGEST Nirvana fan, and have read so many bios of Kurt, that I know him like a best friend, (Though I'm 12, sadly, and never met him). Doesn't mean I don't like Evanescence. They're like, my 3rd FAVORITE band of all time, if not 2nd. But it's just that, in this song, Amy Lee sounded a little bit whiny. also, this song is PERSONAL. It's about Kurt's life. I don't think it's too spiffy if you go around singing a song that you know has a personal meaning to someone else. Yet, Amy lee still rawks fuggin hard! And Nirvana forever, mates. Evanescence too. -Mari |
Audioslave – The Last Remaining Light Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's about the apocolypse basically... |
Alice in Chains – No Excuses Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Not every AIC song is about DRUGS! Holy crap....what, do you think Nutshell is about drugs? Or man in the box? Well...nutshell may be, BUT THAT ISH NOT THE POINT. Anyway, yeah, this song is about detoxing(SP?) from heroin |
Alice in Chains – What The Hell Have I Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's about how you feel about yourself on the inside... like, it's about being depressed, and your reflection laughs at you, showing that it thinks you're bullshit, and the singer is feeling just really down, and wants to start his/her life over, but knows that it's really hard, and wonders if its worth it. Best AIC song ever. |
Evanescence – 4th of July (Soundgarden cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
OH! And it's about a nuclear war and st00f, with everyone dying, cities burning, people in denial, praying to God when you find out that everything's really about to be over. This song's an inspiration. |
Evanescence – 4th of July (Soundgarden cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I really want to hear this song, since I'm a big Soundgarden fan. |
Soundgarden – Like Suicide Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Basically, about being depressed, and the harshness of love, and how when your heart is broken, you just want to kill yourself. ...I'd knowwww... I listen to this song a lot when I'm depressed, it's just so...Chris Cornell (my bro calls him Chris Cornholio) fucking rocks! |
Nirvana – Floyd the Barber Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Uhh...guys....the Andy Griffith meaning REALLY IS the meaning... |
Nirvana – Floyd the Barber Lyrics | 19 years ago |
xDD I find the meaning of this song to be really funny. It's basically about all the characters from the Andy Griffith show going evil and stuff. -snickers- |
Nirvana – Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Kurt made his name 'Kurdt Kobain' as a joke/lie/so no one would find out who he really was. He really is Kurt Cobain, and Krist is really Krist, but sometimes referred to as Kris |
Nirvana – On a Plain Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The song is kind of about his childhood, and his mother thinks so too. Kurt called himself a 'black sheep', and so that part about 'Blacksheep got, blackmailed again' is about his mother's ex-boyfriend, who mistreated her, hence 'My mother died, every night, it's safe to say, don't quote me on that'. But other lines in the song have no meaning whatsoever. So I guess this song is basically about being bored, and the only thing you can do is just remember your past. |
Nirvana – Imodium (Breed) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
As you know, it's an early thing of 'Breed', but the title comes from waaaay back when they first started touring. I forget the name of the band they toured with....Something like Fat Something.... But the leader of the group had problems with throwing up and diarrhea and crap on their tour, so he took Imodium. Kurt just took the name of the medicine, and used it as a title. |
Nirvana – Even in His Youth Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The song's basically just about Don Cobain (I forget his name ... XD If I'm wrong, screw it) and how he was treated in his childhood, and how Kurt feels about it. Later in his life, Kurt kind of...basically...hated his father. So maybe this song was just kind of a revenge. |
Nirvana – All Apologies Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song is dedicated to Frances Bean and Courtney, but it's not a suicide song. It's... just a song. You see, Kurt Cobain's lyrics most of the time had no meaning, but were just lines put together so that they rhymed. |
Soundgarden – Nazi Driver Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song, it seems, is obviously about the Holocaust, and most likely life in the Concentration Camps. 'Not a tear will be shed The only color is red' I recently learned about Auschwitz in school, and in that camp, crying was considered 'weak', and basically, if you cried, you died. 'Pile of bones for my bed' The 'narrarator' of this song has to sleep on a crudely made bed, and is probably practically skin and bones.. I dunno why no one commented this yet, cept me... -shrug- It's just a theory...besides, look at the title! 'Nazi Driver' ...but I'm prolly stating the obvious... |
