Ok this is my interpretation of the song, and this is comeing from someone who is not religiouse. so how i view it is that yea you can see all the religious content but if you look beond that you can see the truth that is often lost in todays political religions, that is that you shouldnt look for god to solve your problems that you are here and we all have to power to control our lives, "And I'll fight with all of my heart, and all a' my soul, and all a' my might". to me at least I think that it should be taken more as an inspirational song and not analized for what god figures he uses to express himself. So all i want to say is take what you want from the song but if you can look beyond the religion and see the other things he says |
