Ok, I've read alot of comments saying that Britney sucks, she's a whore, a slut, her music isn't music, she's ugly. Ok, I'm gonna admit that I'm a huge Britney fan, but the only reason I'm backing her up is because I can have an open mind. I'll admit she isn't the best singer in the world, then again...who said she was? Just because she can't belt like Mariah or Christina, doesn't mean that she can't sing. As far as her being a hoe, or whatever you wanna call her...I have to disagree. Britney is just Britney. She's a 23 year old girl who fortunately landed a record deal. That's all. I know she dresses very provacative, but go outside to the store and tell me how many girls look the same. What she wears in a video or concert does not reflect on how she is in her normal life. It's a prop she uses to enhance the meaning to the song she's performing. I know her songs are racy, sexual, and provacative, but come on, it's just a song. True, she doens't write alot of her songs, but come on, she's just an entertainer. Her songs are fun and just feel good beats. It's fun to be sexual sometimes and dance dirty, it's just part of life. Even I do it...that doesn't make me a whore, or a slut, or a bad role model. Now I'm gonna comment about the comments saying her music isn't music. I can talk about this because I'm in my high school band, I'm an all-state player and music is what I love. I make music everyday. Music is nothing but noise put into a rhythm or arrangement that someone can enjoy. I dind't say everyone would enjoy it, but just because a rocker doesn't like it doens't mean it's not music. I'm very open to music. I love Britney Spears, but I also love bands like The Killers, and singers like Martina McBride and other great performers. I have alot fo respect for Britney. She does her thing. I would actually not have respect for her if she stopped doing this because of people who diss on her. She works hard. She's rich famous and giving. Do ya'll know that she donated a couple million to Tsunami victims? Did ya'll know she has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the St. Judes Children's Hospital? Did yall know she has a camp for underprivelaged kids who have a love for the arts? Britney appreciates what she has, and she shares it with others. It's really sad to hear that people calling her a slut, and saying she should die, or be shot. It's even worse to hear those things when she has probably saved children or given them hope in their lives. I"m not just backing her up because I like her, but because I cna have an open mind and see what talent is. If you can be as succesful as she has been, then you have my respect, regardless of what you look like, or don't look like. I like Christina too. So don't think I'm dissing on Christina. She's an amazing singer and she deserves what she has too. | I'll be honest, I love Britney, but the mistake with this song wasn't Britney...it was Madonna. Britney had already done this song, but Britney let Madonna hear it and asked if she wanted to sing in it. Well Madonna ended up remixing the entire thing. I've heard clips of what the song was supposed to be like, and it was actually better. I believe Britney should have left the original. She debuted the song on the NFL kickoff 2 years. That's what the song was supposed to be like. Madonna came in and ruined the song...shame on Britney for letting Madonna do it, and shame on Madonna for destroying a song. | |

This is one of Brit's best songs. I'm a big Britney fan and it's not because of her looks. I'll admit, she's not the greatest singer, but I have alot of respect for her. She does what she wants to regardless what others think. True, there are alot of pre-teen girls that watch ehr and listen to her, but Britney can't control that. When Britney came out, she was 17 YEARS OLD!!! It's stuck in our minds thats what Britney is "supposed" to be. Guys, she's 23 now. She's becoming a woman. I think it's time we grow up with her, instead of her growing up without us. As a Britney fan, I'll admit the following things: 1. She isn't the best singer. 2. She isn't perfect. 3. She's done alot of stupid things in her career. She's probably more aware of these things than we are. Britney to this day, is still the biggest pop star out there. She deserves every second of it. Since 1999 she has given us quite a show, and it looks like that show is nowhere near its end. Britney rock on!!!! Next time you wanna say something bad about her...ask yourself..."Am I perfect? Can I go onstage and entertain like her? Am I the perfect role model? Can I make cd's like hers?" Answer those questions, when the answers are "yes" then talk all you want. By the way, this song rocks...I feel Britney's pain. |
