Love this song. I don't realy have much to contribute meaning-wise. Its just ace! |

Loooooove this song!
I'm appalled at the tiny amount of comments for The Music's songs - but this song deserves more than just my recognition.
Not really sure what it's about, but theories are very very welcome! |

Staind – It's Been Awhile Lyrics
|
ok, to start with, I'm not a Staind fan.
but, wow, great song!
i first heard this song on, of all places, the trailer for The Butterfly Effect (amazingly good film!) and something about it stuck with me. All i could remember was the line "It's been awhile..." so i managed to track it down. Something about this song really tugs at me and, from the 3 pages of comments and personnal accounts, I can see I'm not the only one!
I'm not going to try and give a definative meaning to this song. It seems kinda pointless in the face of everything above this comment.
Keep up the good work, team! |

The Dandy Warhols – Bohemian Like You Lyrics

oh dear, they should really have some kind of mental stability test for members of this site, so people like our friend "butterroll" here can't voice their annoying (and just plain wrong) opinions. :)
Is anyone else seriously annoyed by the usage of the term "sell-out"? Don't even get me started...
P.S. Thanks for the tip-off Tweekr, but i saw DiG a while back, best rockumentary ever! |

Best. Video. Ever!
Story of love, honour, determination and one very brave little milk carton!
P.S. How cute is it when he gets scred by stuff?? (like the grass cutter or the guy drinking milk) |

i like the way the song starts slowly and dreamily (its a word!) and the changes at the line "wake up, you're dreaming..."
one of the best on the album |

The White Stripes – Truth Doesn't Make A Noise Lyrics

Awesome!
Definately one of the whites stripes' best.
I agree with the comments at the top, he's trying to defend/explain someone he loves to people who obviously don't understand her. I love it.

wow, amazing!
pretty certain its about a guy who can't 'perform' in bed. But its still so sad! The poor guy feels so bad!
If you don't think so then read the lyrics back to yourself. |

My Chemical Romance – I'm Not Okay (I Promise) Lyrics

awesong song.
one of those song which can be read on a personnal level by pretty much everyone.
you know that feeling when u could just turn round and say "No, i'm not OK, isn't that obvious?"
Kinda obvious from the lyrics i guess.
I love the "trust me" part! Ace! |

Barenaked Ladies – The Old Apartment Lyrics

There is something really amazing about this song for me. Which is strange, because I'm 15, and I've always lived in the same house, it's not like I have any real life experience to look back on. Still an awesome song though! |

Foo Fighters – Everlong Lyrics

I may have commented on this song already, i can't remember (or be bother to check)
This song is amazing, i think its beautiful regardless of what its about (although, personnally, i think its a love song rather than about Nirvana). One of the Foo Fighters best.
The acoustic version really is beautiful (i need new adjectives!) |

Foo Fighters – Monkey Wrench Lyrics

i agree completely with the general meaning that you guys have built up around this song.
just one queston. the line "what do you do when all your enemies are friends". I think it could mean either "all my enemies are my friends" or "all my enemies are friends with eachother (working together)". i know it doesn't really have much of any impact on the overall meaning of the lyrics. i just wondered what anyone else thought? |

The White Stripes – I'm Finding It Harder To Be A Gentleman Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
Awesome. The guy goes through the relationship with the girl always trying to do the right thing and all she does is complain. Even when he's carrying her through some mud she warns him not to drop her and its like he thinks "screw this" and drops her on purpose. The last line, "And i got mud on my shoe", is him imitating his girlfriends constant complaining. Attitude! I like it. |

oh yeah, just noticed your question glory child.
Being the obsessive warhols fan that i am, i can at least give you some background information regarding the name. Courtney Taylor-Taylor (lead singer) is a great fan of Andy Warhol-style pop art and the culture surrounding it (as are the rest of the band). The band was originally called "Andy Warhol's Wet Dream", which i think you will agree is a bit of a mouthful (no inuenndoes please). So they shortened their name and the rest is history. |

i know theres pretty much nothing i can say about this song that hasn't been said already. Except, they "covered" the intro (from the rolling stones' "brown sugar"), not "nicked", if they had "nicked" it, they would have been sued long before now.
also, i am eternally in the debt of the vodafone company for introducing me to this awesome band! |

A lot of songs from this album don't seem to have any comments, which i can just about live with. But how the hell could you miss this baby out?? This song rules! I think its about someone who is always struggling to make their life work and things never seem to get any easier. |

I've heard Kele make the sex comment too. It makes sense: "To feel her underneath" (which i always thought was "under me") and "you don't taste like her and you never ever will". Lines like that kinda back up the sex thing. Awesome song! |
