Pete R. is the only one on the board who had it completely right. I heard a John Lennon interview in which he said he and Paul had wanted to title it "Knowing she would" but the record company nixed it for being to suggestive. They decided to just change it phoenetically and were known to sing it "correctly" in shows. He said it was simply enough about going home with a girl who was a "sure thing." It may have been about an affair or a prostitute, but I've never heard or read that anywhere documentable. |
