Rammstein – Mein Land Lyrics | 12 years ago |
The lyrics above aren't entirely correcht. At the end this verse is missing: Mein land - vertrieben Mein land - vertreiben Mein land - vergessen Nirgends kann ich bleiben in english: my country - expelled! (in the meaning of: i was expelled) my country - banish him! (in the meaning of: they are banishimg me - in german this is not a transitive verb) my country - forgotten! I can stay nowhere I think the meaning of this lyric is quite obvious now - Rammstein loves to give you a first impression ("mein land" seems to be very nationalistic) that turns out to be completely wrong. Perhaps we should forget about our concepts of "countries" and regards ourselves as human beings... |
Heaven Shall Burn – Endzeit Lyrics | 14 years ago |
the video supports dmbrngr's interpretation. but there is another one: conservation or the fight against the exploitation of earth's nature. the "in a dying world, we are the final resistance" shirts support this second way to interprete this song. i think both meanings fit - that makes the song even better! |

Rammstein – Nebel (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
@horsepower844182 "She wants to tell him the truth But the wind eats her words" This one is _really_ hard to explain. First of all, the german word "fressen" doesn't mean "to eat", but "to devour". It is correct that she wants to tell him and in some way she does - but for an unknown reason he does not hear / understand it. Perhaps the best translation would be: "but the wind takes away her words" Still, it doesn't fit 100 percent. |
Rammstein – Reise, Reise (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Sorry keyman7, but you're wrong. This hidden track is the original black box record of Japan Airlines Flight 123 (http://www.answers.com/topic/japan-airlines-flight-123 ) that crashed in 1985. This track refers to "Dalai Lama". And "reise" really doesn't mean "arise" - I'm german and therefore I'm pretty sure about that. |

Raised Fist – Message Beneath Contempt Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is a song against fascistic cops ("noble races") and all the people, they protect ("keep your arms raised") - while normal people get busted: "Now I'm standing on the point of interception I've installed myself ready for your inspection Equivalence is not a word in your vocabulary You got nothing to say and that scares me" |
Rammstein – Reise, Reise (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
First of all: "Reise Reise, Seemann reise!" means "travel, trave, sailor travel" and _not_ arise! This song is about exploiting the enviroment, in this case the sea. There is another meaning: The song denounces fighting between humans. "Der Eine schmeisst den Speer im Mann der Andere zum Fischen an" This part doesn't necessarily mean: "One thrusts the spear into a man Another then into the fish" It could be also be meant poetic: "the other one to the fish" [this man falls into the water] The last verse could stand for the suffering of the families who live at the shore. |
Rammstein – Seemann (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
There are several meanings: 1. This sailor is a soldier who pities the crew of a sinking ship (perhaps he destroyed it). He wants to help them, but in the end he can't forgive himself for his "murder". 2. It's about a broken relationship. If you read the lyric, the details should be obvious. 3. It's about a person who lost someone, who was a sailor. In german you would say: "Er ist auf See geblieben." That means that the person died, because his ship sank or he drowned. The protagonist doesn't want to accept his/her death and waits at the lantern for his/her friedn to come back. Surely, there are several more meanings ... just wanna to give you a little push - this one of the most emotional songs i've ever heard. |
Rammstein – Amour (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song _is_ about love. In detail it's about a relationship: at first, you really want your partner then, you have a great time together after that, love expires and at last, it will end (your partner dies, or you leave him/her) Somehow you can't live without love, but in the end love will hurt you ... and therefore "he" wants: "bitte, bitte, gib mir gift" to get out of this vicious circle! |
Rammstein – Adios Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song describes a drug-trip ... and the pain during the coming down. "nichts bleibt für dich für immer" Nothin will last, drugs won't help you ... |
