Roland19? That's an incredible interpretation, i'd love to believe that was true.
This song though, is just amazingly simple, it means whatever u want it to. Like it's just perfection |

This song's so brilliant, I thought perhaps it was nonsensical but thought i'd come on here to see what the real deep intellectual incredible meaning could be, turns out it is nonsense! Still brilliant though! |

Bright Eyes – If the Brakeman Turns My Way Lyrics

If there's a more beautiful and meaningful phrase than "All this death... other way around... way to level out"... Personally the counterweight line means so much to me, it's all that stops all the death getting too much some sort of belief that it's not just a waste. |

Death Cab for Cutie – Crooked Teeth Lyrics

Soz corrected the lyrics now, looking back they were pretty rubbish! Anyway they're all cool now except the i'm a war/idle war part as I think it is idle war no matter what the booklet says.
I think this line...
"‘Cause that night, the sun in the tree
Made the sky line look like crooked teeth
In the mouth of a man who was devouring
Us both"
I think it's a reference to the Beatle's 'free as a bird video' in which the sky in the trees supposedly look like paul mccartney which added to the whole paul is dead thing, and of course then it leads to come together which could be why the songs called crooked teeth and there are a lot of beatley feels in the album |

Yeah I like to think that there's progression throughout it with the closing being a lot more frustrated than the attempted light hearted nature of the piece |

I know this will sound like a joke but..!
I think it\'s about his dad as i\'m sure you\'re all aware he\'s been through bad times with his parents and sister passing and although this seems light hearted and perhaps shallow on first appearence it\'s actually kind of deep, saying how he still appreciates the times they did spend together and the heartbreak is worth it for all of that...
Once again I would like to reitterate that i\'m being serious |

Bic Runga – Dust Lyrics

This reminds me of me, walking home after a night out, leaving in a hurry cos things got out of your control and having too much time to think on the way back. Then waking up tomorrow afternoon and not being sure what happened but having a horrible feeling something went really wrong and then the moment when you remember and realising everything's lost and wanting it back and not wanting it to be gone |
