Sufjan Stevens – The Man of Metropolis Steals Our Hearts Lyrics 16 years ago
This song's actual meaning is dedicated to that of famous poet Carl Sandburg. While it can be interpreted to that of Superman, it's truth is to that of Sandburg. Sandburg worked as a news reporter at the Chicago Daily News (first four lines of the song) and the reference to "Man of Steel, Man of Heart" refers to his love of Industry and Man's dominion in such as shown in his poems included in Smoke and Steel (1920). The rest of the song falls into shape as an ode to Carl Sandburg once you look at it in this context. For further reference,

Reel Big Fish – S. R. Lyrics 19 years ago
I can't change the levels enough into the second part of the rap, but here's what I could get from the song...

Brrrdaah stick ‘em ha ha ha stick ‘em
Brrrdaah stick ‘em ha ha ha stick ‘em

What every happened to Suburban Rhythm
Why did Ed and Scott quit
Please don’t go Suburban Rhythm
All the other bands are just shit

Well the Reel Big Sish said that they got it made
Because they signed with a record company they gonna get paid
I said they mess up on the lyrics and they got no style
Said they gonna get it right but it might take a while (whoo whaa)
Don’t touch that dial

Huuhh
And I’ll never seem to blah blah blung blung gun
Say I’ll never never play with those guys again
‘Cause I never showed up

So what ever happened to Suburban Rhythm
Why did Ed and Scott quit (would you please drop the gangsta shit)
Please don’t go suburban rhythm
All the other bands are just shit
