i love this song. I heard him describing the story line in a radio interview right before he played it. Its pretty obvious but a dad and son stop talking to each other after the son joins a religious cult. He gets a call from the morgue to ID his body and he looks and tells them it isnt him....
the father wanted it to not be his son so much he convinced himself it wasn't when he saw him it was or it wasnt his son, he left that part open. I like the former. |

I always thought this song was about drug abuse and he travels one place and it ruin his life so he picks up and goes somewhere else but his old habits [devils] find him again. But yea depression fits the lyrics better. |

I head a live version of this song and as someone said above he changed the lyrics from "I hope we both die" but this time he says "I hope we all die". Its my favorite live bootleg just because the whole crowd is singing most of the song. So much energy live. |

this is good stuff. He said this is the first album where he actually writes true acounts of his life instead of the of fiction and stories about other people like the other albums. His first autobiography. I like this song a lot. |
