Definatly one of the best songs of Rosenrot! but no one has really explained the meaning....well Mann Gegen Mann is about the rebelious nature of homosexuality (simply put) - its basically the ultimate (pure even) form of rebelion to life. Pick a aspect of life and even death and youll see thats true "Schwulah" is a made up word (kinda) - its just taking the german word for 'fagget' and combining it with some screaming, that word could represent the whole 'effect' of homosexuality on society- - - if you seen the video (full of naked men - except for Till) youll see when hes yelling it - he transform to this demon - Schwulah represents the demon o yeah - final note, homosexuality has been around for a long time (very frequent in old great cultures of Asia) its just that as Christianity spread - well uhh people got 'prudish' - today people are more free to live their lifes (no offense to the organized religons)...and yeah like most things, the media is trying to captilize of things :cough:urban culture:cough: |

when i first heard the song i thought it was about drugs, but i thought that explaination was too easy....then i went to the whole "artsistic mind" thing.... but yeah..... "my username sucks" explaination* does make sense, it is about drugs/STDs... "i hope your stepson doesnt eat the fish" i still think that has to do with oral sex on a woman, espicially* now with the drugs/STD explaination... (ill be polite and mature about this as much as i can, and use proper terms) a woman's vaginia smells like fish, if its clean (not dirty or diseased*) (if you havnt had sex, then just trust me here) gorgonzolla is a cheese, and it smells (and i guess it could look like) a vaginia if its diseased (my grandfather loves to eat cheese, he has like a box in the fridge full different types of cheese, took my awhile but i found some gorgonzola) "i hope your stepson doesnt eat the fish" someone who is high on coke is about to have sex with a female that has and STD the "stepson" thing....not to sureabout this, but maybe it might be a personal SOAD thing or it has to do with the fact that parents think their kid is innocent and everyone elses kid is bad.... "killers never hurt feelings" "my username sucks" explained this well, but i think it means something slighty different. i think its has to do with the drugs, the cocaine hurts your BODY but it doesnt hurt your FEELINGS (it makes you feel better) i dont think it has to do with the a person with an STD because most people who get an STD get it from someone who doesnt even know they have an STD, but the explaination could work with a prostitute....(im not sayn prostitutes are heartless or evil) and i dont think gorgonzola has to do with a coked out person's vein, ive never seen or heard a person inject coke in their vein**, you snort or free base (bake it on a spoon) coke and ive never seen anything wierd* (or sterotypical) with a person's vein who does cocain (kinda like crackheads are skinny) on a final note, one can get Gonnorhea from regular sexual intercourse but the song has to do oral sex because the "eat" comment ....and use condoms everytime (and be careful of what you eat)...and dont do cocaine or crack.....and dont think low of prostitutes.... *words that i probably* spelled wrong" **could be wrong |

The morning star ( or "Mourning", like the feeling) was lucifer.......anyway the song is pretty simple (and still kick ass) the girl in the song is ugly or it is more like that society thinks she is ugly, and the girl basically needs to sell her soul to the mourning star...which means she needs to get plastic surgery or conform to what society thinks is beauty but in the end there is a whole realization to the common theme "beauty is on the inside" the only part of the song im not clear on is who is talking (not litterally), the speaker seems to have pity on the girl but then has an ominus knowledge, i think its just the narrarator and not a man or the society figure........BTW i posted this same comment on the english version page |

the correct lyrics are the ones cramerthegr8 posted i really suck at grammer and explaining things.....well im just lazy...but im sure im in the right ballpark with this songs meaning.... the fish thing - i think this referes to performing oral sex on a woman...and/or a selfish sexual gratification which could be a metaphor for the next thing im gonna talk about... the killing/addict thing - in the CD cover where the "thank yous" are, daron doesnt have a "thank you" section, it just says "in your world you can take a pen and write on a piece of paper and destroy 200,000 people or more and its ok because you dont have to see it" - charles manson...even though manson was bat shit crazy (and who isnt?), he had some pretty smart ideas and quotes (except for the killing and cult thing)...there is freedom and joy of ones own artistic thoughts and ideas, but with these ideas theres always gonna be someone whos gonna call it crazy and/or bash it....but i think this song doesnt talk about that from the "creator/artists" view, but from someone who agrees with them and has there own views changed.....THINK ABOUT IT....havent you ever been questioned or insulted for something you believe in or enjoy? (weather it be religion,music, or hobby) from your peers or parents....havnt you ever said to yourself.. "HOLYSHIT THIS SONG/THING/PERSON IS RIGHT, I GET IT!!! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ME FOR LIKEING THIS OR BELEVING IN THIS!!!!THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU FOR NOT UNDERSTANDING!!!" and in the end, everyone is crazy, there is no such thing as normal, and everyone has there own thing and we need to get along......bitches ;) |

This song confused me when i first heard it (mainly the baseball part), at first i thought it meant how hollywood celebs can be dicks and think they are always right and smart and need to tell everyone what to do and how to live and the baseball thing just meant it was american BUT the names sounded familiar.....and then i realized that Daron wrote the song....and the baseball hit me in the head Daron was a guest in the Dodgers celeb game (it was a "dream come true") but when first asked about it Daron didnt seemed that excited (i dont think he scored, but tha"t didnt matter)....this song is about that experience, "Tony Danza cuts in line" litterally means that bastard cuts in line!!!! "standing in the sun, wasting my time" meant it was hot and Daron didnt feel like he belonged......im sure Daron liked playing for the Dodgers but hanging out with the "washed up" celebs must of sucked....at first i thought this "theory" was kinda wierd, but it seems some people are saying the same thing if you realize that Daron wrote some of the new songs, they begin to make sense |

I love this song....check out the Big Day Out Live video (2001) Till is crazy yet so artistic when he preforms (you know you have the right video if there is a girl with her top off with red hair) i think this song has to do with soldiers and there duty,honor, knowledge and how sometimes they are decieved or subconciously blind (i spelled that wrong)... some examples are -German soldiers in the 1930s up till when the Berlin Wall fell "I REALLY HATE TO SAY IT AND I AM NO WAY SYMPATHIZING OR HOLD ANY APATHY WITH HITLER AND THE NAZI PARTY, NOR AM I CALLING RAMMSTIEN AND ITS FANS (INCLUDING ME) AND GERMAN PEOPLE NAZIS"!!!!!"I REPEAT, I AM NOT CALLING ANYONE A NAZI AND I AM NOT SYMPATHIZING WITH HITLER OR HIS IDEALS" there are other examples but these soldiers are the best (just think about it from non black or white point of view) - another army would be US soldiers from the Vietnam, Korea and Current Iraqi War -another would be the fighters from the Crusades but again, the german soldiers are the best example....and about the "Zwo" and "zwei" thing...i asked around and 'chrisimmons' answer was the one i got |

before i get started, let me say im sick right now (flu or sumthing) so im probably not thinking straight but im bored and cant go outside or play my guitar (and not use proper grammer).........everyone here has said a bunch of stuff (relgion seperation, love-relationship seperation and the bands personal experiennces) and i think your all right....i think the song is about seperation of something and the aftermath and realization of it all, to be clearer ill use football on and off as an example (i could of done religion and love but thats been taken :) ) "I know the pieces fit 'cause I watched them fall away " - at one point something worked but over time it fell part example: a football team that is really good and unbeatble begins to have problems against new teams, the old plays dont work againt the new teams "Mildewed and smoldering, fundamental differing Disintegrating as it goes, testing our communication The light that fueled our fire then has burned a hole between us so We cannot see to reach an end, crippling our communication " - the factor is not really an opposing thing (a new enemy) it formed from the "good relationship" and what worked before doesnt work now example:problems amongst the the football team's players begin to happend (some members want to use new plays other what to keep the old plays and just think their teammates are the problem)...
