| I always thought this song was about trying to get around those three little words. Before my boyfriend and I started saying I love you this song came on one day fairly early on in our relationship and it hit me like a ton of bricks - I was constantly biting my tongue, avoiding those three little words in fear of scaring him off. I wanted to say I love you for so long, but I wasn't sure if he felt the same way... so I told him in other ways without actually saying 'I love you'. | |
