Radiohead – Thinking About You Lyrics 19 years ago
My opinion:
Thom switching roles with his girlfriend, her becoming the famous one, him saying what he thinks he'd feel.

Modest Mouse – Bukowski Lyrics 19 years ago
I'm having a bit of a problem with "the new Modest Mouse". All of their previous albums have been well researched, and the lyrical content is right up there with Radiohead. (well, almost).
So the line "If God takes life he's an indian giver" really bothers me in this song. I am not a religious person, but it bothers me for another reason. I just have to ask if anybody knows if Bukowski once said this, becuase I really can't believe that MM wrote this line. In every book of every religion, the higher power always promises an after life, therefore not being an indian giver at all. So there is a contradiction in the line. If you believe in God enough to think he gave life, you have to believe enough that he will give an afterlife.
So if someone could let us know if it was Bukowski who wrote this that would be great. Otherwise Modest Mouse's writing is sadly slacking.
