A great, catchy electro-pop song! Which I think is just about being resilient to people's advances or actions towards the singer. |

Ok, so it might be about Mark Chapman. It might be about Mark Chapman from your point of view and Micheal Stipe's; but allow other people to have a different interpretation to it? |

Whoah, were you doing some English Lit analysing practise there? Huuuuge comment.
Grand song, grand album. I'd like to think that the weather metaphors are describing the emotion's of the singer and the way that they can't be stopped.

The Strokes – Heart In A Cage Lyrics

When I first heard the song, I thought he was saying 'We gotta laugh, laugh, laugh, laugh..' but obviously I was wrong. Pretty amazing song tho, I think its the best on the album. An aren't all of our hearts beating in their cages, as its in the whole rib-cage thingy...is that what he's going on about?...hmm....~ponders the matter~ |

James Blunt – High Lyrics

He does include it into this recordings...infact i've got the liner notes infront of me:
'High'
(Blunt & Ross)
J. Blunt - Guitars, keyboards, marimba, vocals.
M. Tarantino - Lead Guitar.
S. Kristov - Bass.
C. Paxon - Drums.
Infact every track on this album has some sort of guitar on it. If the record company wanted to attract teeny bopers then surely they'd have put more into marketing it when it first came out about two years ago than letting it build up credibility on its own... |

Yup. Doesn't have to be a relationship ending though, perhaps it could just be a moment in his life that he enjoyed, and how its changed; and that he wants all his old friends to see how he and his life has changed. |

Great song!
I rekon its about someone just wanting to have a good time [not necessarily by doing somthing, maybe just by being with the person they want to be with] with a friend or loved one; but that friend or special someone doesn't know or doesn't realise that they are needed |

Hoobastank – Out of Control (feat. Ian Watkins & Jamie Oliver) Lyrics

To me, it sounds like its a question to life; someone who thinks their life lacks direction and perpose, or, someone who doesn't know where they should be heading with their life.
But who cares about what the songs about: lets just get OUT OF CONTROL!!! |
