Régine Chassagne wrote this song for her cousins who didn't escape from Duvalier and died, or were never born because her aunts and uncles never escaped. it is also dedicated to her grandmother who passed away (the cd title, funeral pertains to that, along with other funerals.)

this song's called road to joy since it sounds a lot like ode to joy. i love how upbeat this song is, how it makes me feel really great and it still has content. it's just a really great song. very well balanced. |

well ne'n parlons pas means let's not discuss it any further, and it sounds gorgeous whether or not it's repetitive. i love this song. it got a garbled sound with a strange melody. it's great. i don't think many people have heard it, which is unfortunate. |

neely is a singer in tilly and the wall, which is signed to team love, the record label headed by conor and his manager. tilly and conor were apparently childhood sweethearts when they both lived in omaha. that's not to imply that she has a problem with substance abuse just because this song might be to her or about her. |
