Ramones – 53rd & 3rd Lyrics | 19 years ago |
whether or not it involves dee dee, it seems to be a song written in despair about not being able to succeed in the lowest of lows: prostitution. when the person finally does, the dude kills the client to prove his worth. |

The Clash – I'm So Bored with the U.S.A. Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this song is all the more relevant in these days of rap topping the charts and crap like that. american influence is everywhere, penetrating, and you can't escape it. near the end of the song it says but what can i do? reflecting on how we can't stop it. |
Ramones – Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment Lyrics | 19 years ago |
ramones started punk, but they lost their way in trying to make money. i think the real problem is the american dream, and that they focused too hard on north america, where punk can't really take off - there is too much hope. they stayed around way past their welcome, trying to succeed. that's why the brits succeeded so much (and why they are so popular in south america) - because if you were born in the slums, odds-on are that you were going to die there. whereas american you always hear stories of the poor bloke getting the football scholarship etc. people in american can't truly understand punk - you have to be british. and who cares what they music is like? punk isn't about that. and what the hell is the song about? |
Ramones – Daytime Dilemma (Dangers of Love) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Millencolin – Pain Lyrics | 19 years ago |
nobody's added anything? shame. this is my fav millencolin song, and i have all of them for those skeptics. i think this really is about a one-night stand gone wrong - that the writer feels attached to the person he/she has slept with. But Maybe I ask too much or walk in the wrong direction All those thoughts drive me insane and I wonder how long I fell this he/she seems to be torn up inside about whether or not the person feels the same way? Pain, is not really what it is no, it's something different with a different name and you, you never tell me a damn thing I hope someday I'll learn to play this game they reflect on how pop culture is all about sleeping around, and that it's more disappointment or defiance perhaps. Fear, of course I fear the unknown because the unknown is a stranger to me but if you erase the pj's then what could a stranger be that remains to be seen people may be afraid to ask people because they fear let down. but if you took away their clothes (pj's, pajamas?) could they not be the person of your dreams? hell, i don't know. feel free to blast me away in the real meaning. |
