Blue October – Amazing Lyrics | 18 years ago |
my thoughts... he has killed her. I go with the idea that he was obsessed with her although it could be a fight that caused him to kill her. The parts that seem to point to the idea she is dead are the "thought" of her eyes glowing because he will never seem them "glow" again, also the history for sale (their story being told to everyone in court or media) and "my sweet ghost" in the literal sense. I also take the "Have I found your sweet spot" to be sarcasm. That is what makes me think about anger in the song. In the sense of, "How do you like me now, I bet that isn't what you expected" Slipknot had this sort of song with Vermillion (Part 1 and 2) check it out, great song and will make you see this song in the way I do. |
Ingram Hill – The Captain Lyrics | 19 years ago |
To the best of my knowledge... This song was written by Justin (lead) about his nephew. Justin sees himself as "The Captain." I believe this is how he put it at a concert in Baton Rouge. |
12 Stones – Photograph Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I hope I get this right... This song was written about someone he knew that killed himself. (think it was a friends brother or something like that) It basically says not to take the easy way out of a problem by killing yourself. "Weakness fills your heart again You put it to rest" Put it to rest = kill yourself "Forfeit everything 'Cause you were never strong enough " talks about how you weren't strong enough to face the problem so you were weak and killed yourself. Not the average approach to suicide, but I like it. Don't be weak. |
Eminem – Rain Man Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Damn sarcasm button doesn't work on this computer I guess. I know it isn't about the actual word, it is likely more a play on making a whole song with no point. Basically like 99% of all rap songs made today. Read it more like "I just did a whole song and didn't say anything" bengt -- He said he didn't have to make sense, that isn't reading into the lyrics. Dean Moriarty -- Aren't you the same one that said, "Dur, it is after the Movie Rain Man." And I am the one with the special abilities? Wow, guess it is ok for you to make obvious statements but someone else can't. |
12 Stones – Fade Away Lyrics | 19 years ago |
nevermind, wasn't this song...it was So Far Away |
12 Stones – Fade Away Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Was thrown out of The Varsity (BR) to this song...yep, I have officially been thrown out of a 12 Stone concert. The song rocks. |
12 Stones – Soulfire Lyrics | 19 years ago |
ok, not sure if any of ya'll have been to a 12 stones concert, but if you have you know this is the song that they come out to...everytime. The reason they come out to this song is because it is about THE FANS!!! The fans get him so pumped up (push him pull him). The Fans show him things inside of him. Yes, he is thanking God for the fans. 12 Stones is not a typical Christian band. While they do have songs that refer to religion they are not based on that. How come no one calls Metallica christian rock when a few of their songs are referencing God. BTW, only one song actually mentions the word Lord or God. |
Aerosmith – Back In The Saddle Lyrics | 19 years ago |
There is no doubt this song is about more than just coming back to touring. But, when Aerosmith comes out on stage to this you will remember it forever...by far the best song I have heard anyone come out to for starting a concert. (Especially with the huge pink sheets circa 1998) |
Aerosmith – Mia Lyrics | 19 years ago |
For everyone who isn't aware it is about his daughter Mia. Basically something dedicated to her to show his love to his child. |
Eminem – Rain Man Lyrics | 19 years ago |
since no one else mentioned it I guess I should... Eminem said "shit" twice in the song before saying, "I just did a whole song and I didn't say shit." Maybe shit is supposed to reference something other than the word itself, just a note. |
Eminem – Who Knew Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Mexicant brings up a good meaning to the song, but he doesn't go quite far enough. If you really look at it Little Eric could be reffering to Eric Clapton's son that fell from a terrace. I don't know, maybe I am reading too much into it. |
Eminem – Till I Collapse Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Ok, to answer a few of the questions raised... The list are people he respects in the industry. People that rap with meaning to what they say and aren't JUST about bling and bitches. For the most part the people in his list don't make the Crunk type music and rap with feeling. As for the Jada remark it was a diss to Benzino. Basically he means that Benzino had to get someone else on his album just to sell records. No one bought the album because of Benzino but only because of Jada being on it. |
