Death Cab for Cutie – What Sarah Said Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this is one of the best songs on the album. definitely depressing, but it makes you think... who's going to watch you die? the music compliments the lyrics for a perfect combination. |
Death Cab for Cutie – I Will Follow You Into the Dark Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i love this song. it presents the recurring theme of death, but of course, in a borderline-optimistic way. the lyrics are good, and it's a sweet song. i heard ben wrote it for his girlfriend. anyways i think all of the song about death on plans are surprisingly upbeat and optimistic... is this meant to be ironic? |
Death Cab for Cutie – Summer Skin Lyrics | 19 years ago |
my third favorite song on the album. :) lovely lyrical imagery. "we peeled the freckles from our shoulders our brand new coats were so flushed and pink and i knew your heart i couldn't win" |
Death Cab for Cutie – Soul Meets Body Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this is a really really good song and i love the line "a melody softly soaring through my atmosphere." and yes, i believe dysfunctional's interpretation is the best. its not the best song on plans but it's still good... it's really different from the rest of the songs (soundwise) in my opinion.... |
Death Cab for Cutie – Brothers on a Hotel Bed Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this is a tie (with what sarah said) for my favorite song off of plans. that being said, the lyrics are awesome. and i agree with both of you as to the meaning of this song, mostly because of the third verse. thank you chris walla. :) i really love the third verse and of course "cause now we say goodnight from our own separate sides / like brothers on a hotel bed." anyone else think walla should write more lyrics? |
